Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bit sad to walk this nice street with all closed due to covid but this is the new normal. Calm and not as normal full of people but i guess this is something to see as well, street starts close to museamquartier and is a nice walk with some interesting building to see along the way. And hopefuly in the future all the shops and resturants will be again open.

If you like shopping, this is the right place in Vienna.Lots of famous brands are here, and if you get there in sales time, you will definitely find something to buy( prices are high in normal period).But even if you are not a shopaholic, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes just to sit and enjoy your meal.Go there if you are in Vienna.

Snipes in Wien
I was three times there.
It was really impressive, because it was very big. There it has some realy nice clothing. I like the entrance where the staff is. They were very friedly. I loved the collection from Nike and Vans. They have a lot of other collections I like. I bought 2 shirts and one pair of shoes and they are very good. I wear them really often and the quality is still fine. I also like the other snipes shops, but this one is my favorite because they had so many things from bottles up to pairs of socks. The shop is just perfect.

When I see this beautiful street rated 4 stars I simply don't get it. This is one of the best shopping streets in Europe. It's beautiful, full of great stores, near it there are many wonderful cafes and restaurants. When visiting Vienna, coming here is an absolute must.

*) Mariahilfer Straße is home to international giants like H&M, Zara, Berska, American Apparel, Desigual, Diesel, Esprit, Mango, Pull & Bear, Promod and Forever 21, but you’ll also find plenty of unique local shops and full-on departments stores like Gerngross. There are cafes, ice cream parlors, and multiple rooftop eateries, offering everything from schnitzel to sushi. Shops are open Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 7pm, Thursday and Friday 9:30am to 8pm, and Saturday from 9:30am to 6pm. Closed on Sunday.
*) Here you will find a diverse mix of shops from boutique to chain stores.
*) There are drinking fountains and seats if you want to take rest and people-watch.
*) Mostly car-free, so you can cross and do both sides of the road easily.
*) The street is very long and straight and most shops close at 6-7 PM so make sure you go early if you want to see everything.
*) If you are here for shopping its the Innere Mariahilfer Strasse that you want to go and not Äussere Mariahilfer Strasse.
*) The inner section of Mariahilfer Strasse or Innere Mariahilfer Strasse stretches between MuseumsQuartier and Westbahnhof (Innere Mariahilfer Strasse) is well covered by metro (U-Bahn). There are four metro stations along Innere Mariahilfer Strasse (sorted by location from the city centre towards Westbahnhof):
MuseumsQuartier (U-Bahn line U2);
Neubaugasse (U3);
Zieglergasse (U3);
Westbahnhof (U3 and U6).
*) Compared to this, Kartner and Graben strasse are more for high-end shopping.
*) It has usual eateries such as McDonalds and Starbucks. There's also a Vapiano.
*) The foods are varieties: kebab, ice cream, pizza, pastry, Chinese and local/traditional Viennese. Fashions for middle and middle up class like H&M, Zarra, Bijoux, etc. Supermaket for everyday need: Billa, etc.

No picture? Just a few reviews? Such low ranking? What a shame! Sister shopaholics, this is the place to shop in Vienna! Becky Brendon would love it! Great place for shopping :)

If you really want to shop then I guess it is worthwhile....all the typical stores repeated every few blocks. Prices are expensive and there is nothing unique at all. Spend your time elsewhere!

Having so many other beautiful streets in vienna, im not sure what the big fuss is about, an uphill street from museum quartier, with normal stores, starbucks, mc donalds, and things that wouldnt be considered local. I felt like i was in any city anywhere in the world, not charming vienna

This is a good place to do your shopping. It is much cheaper than Kohlmarkt and Stephanplatz. It is probably Europe's longest shopping street. It is well connected with the Undergroud Metro. You can find many reasonable souvinir shops and eateries here. In my opinion this is the best place to stay in Vienna.

We are coming this November, and we are going to be stay at the Hotel Austria Trend Rathauspark is this place close to our hotel pls?

Hello,
It takes 20 minutes to walk from your hotel to the beginning of the street, which is close to the ring (Burggarten park).
From there you can walk along the street as far as you want.
I guess you will visit the old city, so you can find there nice streets like Kärntner Straße, Graben Strasse and more...
If you are looking for a shopping option, I think Mariahilfer is perfect.
Enjoy!
