The Sissi Museum/Kaiserappartementen is as museums should be. The line went pretty quick (we went at 11am). The people who work there were nice. We took the audioguide, though we were lucky that they were available in a language we spoke (the english ones weren’t...More

The entrance price automatically includes an audio guide which provided interesting extra information as we walked around. The museum is well worth a visit. It gives interesting insight into Austrian history and includes the apartments where the Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Sissi lived.

Visited on Tuesday 10th October. When you are at the Hofburg you must allow time to have a look at the Kaiser Apartments there.

The Imperial Apartments was a wonderful experience, but it was very crowded and, therefore, it was sometimes difficult to stand until the explanation in the audio guide ends. The staff was nice and helpful.

If you want to know something more about the life of the Habsburgs, than take this tour, visit the Kaiserappartements. You will have an idea how they lived there.

This historic residence gives an insight into how the royals used to live. They led a lavish lifestyle but Franz Joseph also worked extremely hard. His room was spartan in comparison to his wife which spoke volume of his love and admiration for her. There...More
