I like visiting old palaces and such, but this was a bit of a disappointment. Very little to see, besides a few rooms that were very interesting, Lots and lots of people even early in the day. A no photo or video ban is applied...More

The Sissi Museum/Kaiserappartementen is as museums should be. The line went pretty quick (we went at 11am). The people who work there were nice. We took the audioguide, though we were lucky that they were available in a language we spoke (the english ones weren’t...More

The entrance price automatically includes an audio guide which provided interesting extra information as we walked around. The museum is well worth a visit. It gives interesting insight into Austrian history and includes the apartments where the Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Sissi lived.

Unfortunately we found that most of the items in the kaiserappartements were recreations of items, and not the originals. The audio tour gives a bit of insight into the royals who lived here, which is ok, but in my opinion the Schonbrunn Palace tells the...More

If you want to see the imperial rooms you also have to see the silver collection and the Sisi museum. Hence, it is a bit pricey (~13€) if you are not interested in those. (The Sisi museum is okay, the silver collection is impressive at...More

The Imperial Apartments was a wonderful experience, but it was very crowded and, therefore, it was sometimes difficult to stand until the explanation in the audio guide ends. The staff was nice and helpful.
