We don't know much about churches, and we barely know a handful of Otto Wagner's achievements, so there's not much we can say about the historical value of the church and appreciate it accordingly. However, the church is different and very beautiful (if not impressive)....More

This masterpiece of Jugendstil! Very good local guide. Far from crowded, there are not many tourists. Atmosphere of magnificent beauty in the psychiatric hospital! One of the most impressive locations I've visited.

The Steinhof church is a sight of its own (which looks great even from very far away, for instance from Hietzinger Friedhof, a cemetery in the 13th district), though unfortunately the inside is most often closed.

One of the best works by Otto Wagner, with artistic accomplishment amplified by his cooperation with Koloman Moses. A real gem of Secession art now in full splendor after major renovation. Even if one has little interest in this particular artistic current, s/he should visit...More

This church is stunningly beautiful, and although quite busy had an atmosphere of peace and calm. This was my favourite place visited in Vienna.

The church is an impressive example of Otto Wagner's style, the white exterior and the predominantly gold interior are breathtaking. To get there, walking up the hill through the grounds of the old psychiatric hospital is an experience in itself, depending on whether you do...More

The church is done in spectacular Art Nouveau Architecture. It is set on a high hill overlooking the City. It is a bit out of the way but worth the trip.

If you visit thischurch, you willunderstand that the Viennese people have another relation to death. They seems tosee death as part ofthe life - soitmust be excellentlysurrounding there as well. And the architecture of that church is formative for the beginning of the 20th century!

This beautiful church ,in contrast to the Hospital there on the grounds with its terrible history . Incredible! Take the time to look up what happened there during and just after the war.
