If you come to Vienna you definitely have to come here at least once. I was there in February so there were many people, but it was still ok. A place where you can go for shopping or walk or just to some coffee.

While you're walking around Stephan platz you can feel the culture and tradition of Austria. It's really beautiful, better not to go alone to take pictures; )

Stephansplatz is a charming but always busy square with a main shopping street with all the nice and luxurious brands you can think of. The small streets that stems off the Main Street has a number of nice small restaurants and cafes worth checking out as they are very old but pricey. It's a nice place to take an afternoon... More

We toured the city center with good friends in a horse drawn carriage. The guides were very knowledgeable and very cordial. They made the city center a very interesting site and made our afternoon relaxing and enjoyable.

Just seeing or being here is knowing that you're indeed in Europe. Also, there are many fashion shops and fast food chains nearby. It also has its own metro station!

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
