Complete contrast to the grandeur of Vienna. These small towns and villages provide a tranquil, green environment and a chance to enjoy natural beauty.

Travelled by tram and bus and were not disappointed. The views are spectacular and walks in the woods were peaceful and relaxing. A nice restaurant and cafe there for refreshments.

We spent an afternoon on Vienna woods just walking then shopping to sit to enjoy the views and just people watch. Great place to unwind but wear decent walking shoes as you may not realise how far you've walked !

Love the history of Vienna Woods. If you like classical music you have to check it out. Just a short ride by bus or Tram from Vienna.

Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most
romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its
many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby
Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls
through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of
a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are
Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns,
and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill –
