The Minoritenkirche is very near the Hofburg complex and looks very different from any other church we saw in Vienna. Even better hardly any tourist seem to bother to visit this rather impressive place. The current building dates from around 1340 and was one of...More

We'd been told there was a church in the area with a high quality mosaic of the Last Supper, but had to ask for directions at the Tourist Info Centre as it wasn't mentioned in the material we'd picked up. It was gently snowing when...More

The Minoritenkirche presently has has Masses in Italian. They should feel at home there since the church houses a copy of DaVinci's Last Supper commissioned by Napoleon. Very much worth a free visit.

Stumbled into this church while roaming the streets of Vienna. A few interesting views, including a replica of the last supper. Free to visit, so consider dropping in if in the area. Nothing worth modifying your itinerary for.

This is a beautiful church with a very large and humbling interior. The two most beautiful things about this church are the carvings in the doors to the church and the stone replica of The Last Supper. Its a quick visit and well worth it.

A definite must see. This was great no one in there so no crowds. Take change to turn on lights. Our guide took us and was very impressed.

maybe one of those places that are not well positioned on the touristic track. it is between all main touristic points, so a short stop by will be enough.

I visited this church on April 7th in the afternoon and I was there alone. If you are tired of Barroque churches come here and enjoy some Gothic architecture. There´s a great Last Supper mosaic!

Minoritenkirche, Vienna, houses the replica of Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper". This is a life-size, early 19th century piece created by Italian mosaicist, Giacomo Raffaelli. It weighs over 20 tonnes and is truly magnificent... each tiny stone was chosen for its colour and it is...More
