Neighbourhood: Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

We saw this superb exhibition portraying the genius of Bonnard with his amazing sense of colour and light. The space is well designed and shows off the exhibition to great effect. In particular the lighting was excellent allowing the paintings to glow and I have to say better than in the Tate Modern. Well done to Dr Benesch the Director!

Absolutely recommending!
This time in Vienna I decided to focus on exploration of arts through the whole week of stay (mostly museums and exhibitions). After 3 travels to this beautiful town, I can honestly say, that choice of Kunstforum Wien was the best experience among all the other spots Vienna ever offered me. Besides being lucky to catch the exhibits of Pierre Bonnard’s masterpiece paintings;
Staff is phenomenally polite and friendly. Everything inside is welcoming, comfortable and simply professional. Building itself looks marvelous from the outside, in the beautiful area of town.
I Became so interested in Their work, that had to research other exhibitions happening in Kunstforum before, all of them being ambitious and thoughtful as far as I can judge by footage available in the internet.
Your must-have if interested in arts! Even if just a bit.
Thank You Kunstforum Wien ! I believe I am going to visit You again soon. :)

Bank Austria Kunstforum is an exhibition hall in one of the most beautiful squares in Vienna namely Freyung Square.
I had no real interest in attending an exhibition but I was wandering around Freyung Square taking in the magnificent architecture and this grand looking building looks superb,looks more like a grand townhouse than an exhibition Hall, beautiful architecture, very photogenic indeed and adds to the joy of visiting such a beautiful square, I took a few photos before moving on, a wonderful looking building in a gorgeous square and most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

Well worth a visit! Current exhibit include artists that were inspired by Japanese wood prints and other Japanese objects and the Nabi movement. Great to see works of Monet, Van Gogh, Gaugin, Klee, Kandinsky and Gustav Klimt. There are many more. You will not be disappointed.
