With Bike Experience Vienna you will experience a very special side of Vienna. It will be a highlight of your stay in Vienna, an unforgettable experience of typical Vienna far off the classical tourist routes. Bike Experience Vienna shows you sights of Vienna that are not on the schedule of a usual sightseeing tour - on a modern and comfortable E-Mountainbike. From the starting point the track leads us about 15 - 20 kilometers through the "Wienerwald" (Viennese Woods), a picturesque route through vineyards, passing historical places and offering stunning views and unique sights of the City on the Danube. One of the highlights of our tours is the visit of one of the traditional Viennese "Heurigen", wine taverns with a rustic charm, where you can enjoy refreshments in the heart of the vineyards. Included is the E-Bike, guide, helmet, snack during the ride and a welcome drink at the vine tavern.

What a wonderful afternoon. I had never ridden on an E bike before and it was great. Although they say it is suitable for any level, it is definitely a plus if you do regular biking. We were quickly out of the city and into the mountains going along the paths lined with vineyards. some of the paths are steep... More

Hugo is awesome. He is super knowledgeable, lots of fun and very personable. The bikes are really cool too. You can do the work, or the electric bike will do the work. It's up to you. We would certainly highly recommend this tour. It was our favorite day of our entire Vienna experience! Thanks Hugo!!

We had a 3 hour tour through the wine country on bikes with electric assists that helped us get up the hills. Hugo was our guide and was very easy to follow and gave our group ( two couples) extra attention. We stopped halfway at a winery and had a very generous tasting. Recommend this highly.

We were looking to get out of the city for the afternoon and this was perfect! You meet at a train station (very easily accessible!) where you are met by your guide and eBikes and helmet. Water bottles are also provided and fruit snacks if needed. Hugo was very welcoming and helpful! I had never mountain biked before (actually limited... More

My wife and I biked with Hugo on a private tour and had a wonderful day. We travelled the underground from the first district to Heiligenstadt, seamless on the U4, and Hugo met us outside the station. We enjoyed a great ride with Hugo pointing out landmarks and points of interest. Sweeping views of Vienna, vineyards and the Danube including... More

My boyfriend and I did this trip with Hugo and it was wonderful. It ended up just being the three of us and that made it a really great experience. I am not an experienced biker and Hugo was very helpful and patient. The journey itself was beautiful-the weather and views were fantastic. The whole trip was around 30km but... More

This was the highlight of our stay in Vienna. The region is beautiful and we enjoyed the short stop for a glass of local wine (and cake). Our tour guide, Hugo, was lovely. And the bikes made the hills so easy. Even if you're not fit, you can enjoy this bike tour in the hills. Highly recommended! Thanks for a... More

After walking around buildings for days, getting into the Vienna Woods is a treat. Everything about our afternoon was Hugo was a delight. The e-bikes are terrific and make it possible for a family of different abilities to keep together. The views amazing; and the stop at the tavern one of the highlights of our trip. Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
