This is the complex building where the two houses of Austrian Parliament conduct their sessions. Located in Ringstrasse boulevard, the exterior Greek Revival stile by Theophile Hansen in 1883.

The Parliament building is very impressive. The architectural style is very interesting, and also it is very cool illuminated through the night.

If you plan to visit it, I would recommend to take time to check all of the outside details. These are beautiful. The statues, the fountain, the Greek style architecture create a stunning image. Reserve some time to take pictures, you wont't regret it when you get home. It's easy to get lost and forget the building's purpose.

I only spent some time on the outside of this building, but it is a beautiful building with lots of neat statues. It is also HUGE and really hard to capture in one photo. I ended up running across the street to get the entire building to fit. It is super easy to walk to or take the metro if... More

Beautiful building, it looks so powerful and when you see it, you feel so respectful and stunned. At least, I did. Glorious!

this is a land mark of Vienna that any one there must see, and it is easy to reach too by bus or tram, such a huge building that is really great for photos, and a good advice is to try it at night with its lights, so attractive and romantic

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
