We booked the 2 day arctic experience at the end of November, when the snow was starting to pile up. This is a private tour, just me and my husband very excited to live the short experience of being in the arctic. Lise picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the camp. There were beautiful views along the way, we even came across a herd of reindeer in the road! After a short hike we got to the camp leaving civilization behind us.
The camp is located right by the fjord, with breathtaking views. We arrived in the afternoon and tried our luck with night kayaking. There was snow/hail/wind so we got to experience true arctic weather while in the water. In spite of the harsh weather, we spent couple of hours kayaking. The water in the fjord was crystal clear.
Once back, we enjoyed a delicious halibut dinner cooked by our super versatile host Lise and spent the evening chatting.
Next day, after breakfast and tried our luck again with day kayaking in the presence of beautiful views and calm water. After a delicious lunch we did snowshoeing. Because of the physical activity, we were burning a lot o energy, and Lise made sure we stayed well nurtured/hydrated to cope with the energy loss.
The views from the camp were incredible. The yurt was super comfortable and modern, which was a relief after being outside in the cold weather.
Lise is a fantastic, super versatile host! She's also a super professional kayaker which was extremely helpful when I struggled controlling my kayak. I learned a lot of kayaking tricks from her!
An unforgettable experience, in summary, a beautiful place, yummy local food/snacks and a reassuring feeling of being under great hands while trying new adventures.
Lise has very detailed information on the clothing needed on her site, so its important to adhere it!

Unforgettable experience
We stayed there for two days during February 2022 with my brother, and we will not soon forget it.
It starts with a long scenic drive across the different fjord and island from Tromsø to the camp, where Lise gave us lots of interesting information on the region and what to expect during the trip.
The camp is in a beautiful location, and the yurts can easily fit four people and are modernly equipped with a small kitchen with electricity. Thanks to wood and paraffin heaters, we were not cold during the night.
We went kayaking at night and were lucky enough to see Northern lights while paddling along the shore! Although there was strong wind during our outing, we never felt unsafe. Lise took great care to adapt the route according to the conditions and our capabilities and took great care to keep us informed on the different possibilities during the trip.
We went cross-country skiing the second day as the wind was still very strong, and it was also fantastic. We did a 3-hour hike across the island sometime just beside the sea, which you do not do every day!
There is also snowshoe equipment at the camp if you want to go for a walk instead.
Finally, the food was delicious. Lise adapted lunch according to our diet preferences and made us taste locally produced food and beverage. She also provided snacks and hot drinks for the activities. You will definitely don't starve while staying there. The view while eating was breathtaking. We even saw some otters and other wildlife, and Lise is very knowledgeable about local fauna and flora.
We spend two fantastic days with Lise as a guide. Our only regret was that we only booked for two days, not three. Do not make the same mistake if you can!

It’s been nearly a year since we went on this adventure with Lise and I still can’t put into words how amazing this experience was.
Lise was fantastic and we can’t thank her enough. Lise gave us a fantastic insight into local life, food, culture and wildlife. Her expertise kayaking made us feel incredibly safe and comfortable.
We were incredibly lucky with the weather, seeing very strong northern lights whilst kayaking.
The whole trip was expertly planned and expertly delivered - I would recommend this to anyone searching for an adventure and would love to return.

We had a fabulous time at Elements Arctic Camp.
We were collected from our hotel in Tromso and enjoyed the scenic drive to the camp. We were able to see reindeer and moose on the way, enjoyed Lises' stories about the area, and had some tasty local treats and hot chocolate.
We snow-shoed to the gorgeous camp and enjoy nice soup and bread. We loved the Yurts which were super cosy and had very comfortable beds, and that evening had a nice kayak in the crystal clear water before having dinner.
The following day was snowing and quite windy so after a relaxed breakfast where we were able to watch an otter play in the bay, we went cross-country skiing for a few hours rather than kayaking. Cross-country skiing was super fun, and we were able to see some lovely views. After a nice lunch we headed back, arriving in Tromso at 6pm.
It would have been lovely to spend an extra night there to enjoy the tranquility for longer... we may just have to come back again! Thank you Lise for the great memories.

Do not hesitate, book this and be confident you will have an amazing time! This was one of the best experiences I've had in all my travels. Lise manages your stay from the moment you get picked up to the moment you are dropped off. She is a superwoman guide! We stayed with her for the 2-day trip in mid-Feb'22. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the camp allowing pictures along the way. The camp is located in an extremely beautiful area. The boathouse and yurts are perfectly outfitted with anything you would need and are incredibly comfortable for sleeping. Lise prepared our dinner and my son commented "I would eat this meal every day for the rest of my life." We went cross-country skiing and night kayaking, both were incredible experiences. Lise was a sensational guide and captured every moment in pics. Last for the day, we stayed up to watch the Northern Lights and Lise came out with a moose skin to lay on the snow to keep us warm while we gazed up at the stars. We awoke to a delicious breakfast, then were out in the water again to kayak checking out the small islands, seals and scenery. We sadly packed up wishing we had booked for longer. Truly an AMAZING experience with the most wonderful, strongest, and kindest guide. We will be back!!!

Lise invites you to join her at her Camp, which is situated in the pure and beautiful isolation of the most northern archipelego in the world. We were alone with the otters, eagles and porpoises; and we were warm, comfortable and safe. Because the camp is off-grid there is no running water or toilet facilities. However, there is plenty of water to wash hands, cook and drink, and there is a compost toilet. The two Yurts sleep 4 (double bunks) and they are warm, clean and very comfortable. The Boathouse is the communal area. It has stunning veiws, a large table around which to gather, a wood burning stove and a soft sofa. Lise leads the preparation of meals and is always happy to let you give a hand. The food is generous, tasty and wholesome. The real joy of Elements Arctic Camp is being out in the elements. Lise will provide you with all the equipment and guidance you need to kyack, cross-country ski and hike in the stunning surroundings of the camp. The kit is very high quality and the standard of safety is excellent. You don't need to do anything of these things if you don't want to - in fact, you can do what you like. Lise is open to your needs, will adjust to your requirements and maintains a consistently professional, warm and encouraging approach. She made stepping out of our comfort zone much easier than we thought. I even managed to squeeze in an Arctic swim. Absolutely fantastic! Our three day camp was not cheap but it was excellent value for money. Let Lise be your personal host, chauffer, guide, kyack/ski instructor, cook and fun companion, and you will have a holiday of a lifetime. We would go back in a heartbeat!

This is your chance to have a personal guide whilst kayaking in the Arctic Circle. It is 100% worth it.
Got in touch with Lise to book myself and three friends in for an 2 day 1 night kayaking trip during the Arctic night. She was able to pick us up and drop us off from the centre of Tromsø, which gave us a beautifully scenic drive to the campsite, in which we witnessed a fair bit of wildlife, before enjoying a short boat ride, and some showshoeing to get to the yurt, which was our palace for the night.
We got to go out for a night paddle, which was surreal, before settling in to our cosy yurt with a lovely home cooked meal and great conversation. I have never seen such a thick down duvet, and it felt like sleeping wrapped in a cloud.
The following day allowed us a longer paddle in the twilight in the strait between the outer islands of the Norwegian coast, with some views of sea eagles fishing around us and otters. We were entranced, not just by the beauty of our surroundings, but also by the way the light felt ethereal around us, which it turned out was an effect of the northern lights.
We realised that if Lise asked if you'd like to try something, it was going to be an interesting experience, and over the two days tasted dried fish, Norwegian doughnuts, and warming our hands by pouring hot water into our neoprene gloves (admittedly that last one sounds weird, but super useful to know if paddling in the cold again). She was a wonderful guide with amazing knowledge of the local area, flora and fauna, and we might just book this trip again to see the midnight sun in future.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would - this trip far exceeded expectations!!
Lise, the guide is amazing! She made us feel completely at home - the yurt was VERY comfortable, and the food she prepared was delicious! She is a very skilled kayaker, and made us feel safe while out in the kayaks. We were lucky enough to experience the Northern Lights while we were there! This trip is a must do for anyone traveling in the Tromso, Norway area!!

Incredible!! Easy booking and communication with Lise, who is the host and owner. This is a private camping experience and Lise is so sweet and the perfect host. She picked us up in Tromsø, treated us with local snacks and hot drinks for the drive to and from the camp. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and very secluded. You have your own space in your urt at the camp- or you can join Lise in the kitchen and dining room for a chat and stories about the area. The kayaking experience in the bay on Europe’s corner of the Atlantic ocean felt so special and thrilling. You immerse yourself nature. Lise is skilled at kayaking and you feel safe around her. I LOVED this experience. I would go back and stay at least two nights for a true wild elements experience, kayaking, hiking and chatting with Lise.

This was one of the best outdoor trips we've ever done. The setting is amazingly beautiful, especially during the polar night. We loved kayaking around the area, both in the dark and in the "twilight" that you get during the day-- the area is breathtakingly beautiful. Lise is great, she is very knowledgable, friendly and kind, and we really enjoyed just sitting back and chatting over dinner with her at the end of the day. She also knows a lot about local wildlife and was able to point out seals, moose, fish and various birds to us as we paddled, which was very interesting. We would love to come back and do a longer trip in the future, we enjoyed the time so much. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors and has a taste for a bit of adventure, you won't regret it!
