We started out as a home for dogs in 1988, since then our passion for dogs and life in the nature has taken us on an exilerating journey. Today we're one of Tromso's leading tourist destinations with over 300 dogs. Our main tours are with the dogsleds but we also have Northern Lights tours and snowshoe rentals.

In the summer we have Kayak trips, a wide range of tours and hikes with our huskies and puppies as well as glacier hikes. We'll provide warm clothes on all our tours to keep you warm while enjoying the Arctic Nature.

My partner and I came back from our trip to Villmarkssenter a few hours ago and I can honestly say it is a memory that we will cherish forever! We chose Dog Sledding Daytime and I was sceptical whether the excursion would be worth the hefty price that comes with it, but it definitely was and I would do it... More

Originally booked for my birthday l, but due to lack of snow was moved back a day. So glad it snowed! Ben, the guide was fab and told us loads of interesting stuff whilst we were in the sled. From being picked up to being dropped off we enjoyed our day. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Once you arrived you... More

This is a must-do if you are heading to Tromso, Norway. My sister and I went and it was the best activity we did when touring Scandinavia. Although there wasn't any snow for dog sledding, the Northern Lights, Puppy Snuggles, and our guide, Ivan, made the trip more than incredible. Ivan knew so much about the lights and was incredibly... Even though we originally booked the husky sledding, which was eventually canceled because of no snow, we had a lot of fun spotting the Northern lights in the Villmarkssenter camp. The staff is really kind, warm-hearted and welcoming. While you wait for the Northern lights to show up, you can roast marshmallows, drink warm tea and chat with others. (Ask... More

I did the Aurora Husky Hike and it was so much fun! We were given nice warm snow suits and boots and were paired up with a dog (one dog between two people) - the dogs were really friendly and full of energy - they walked us, not the other way around!! The guides for the walk were Carol and... More

We were due to take part in a husky sledding tour but there wasn't enough snow. Unfortunately I hadn't seen the email to notify us so we turned up on the day expecting the sledding, but we didn't mind. The company offered us plenty of alternative activities to do, so we returned the next day for the husky hike instead... More

We would have liked to do a sledding experience but unfortunately there was no snow yet when we visited in early November. So instead we booked on for the Northern Lights visit and it was by far the best night we had during our week long stay in Norway. Everything came together that evening. Shortly after we arrived, we were... More

Signed up for dog sledding but due to insufficient snow, the company informed us early suggesting other alternatives. Went for the husky hike which was a tad more expensive than the dog sledding but the company is so nice not to charge us the extra amount! 2 thumbs up for that one. The husky hike was amazing. Terrain was slightly... More

I booked myself in for the Aurora Husky Hike with the Tromso Wilderness Centre. The evening itself included pick up/drop off from a hotel in the city centre, and then meeting our tour guides. We were given thermal suits and harnesses which would be used to walk the huskies. Once we were ready, we made our way to the kennels... More
