Skiing in the winter, fishing walking and nature hunting in the summer. A great way to get away from the city and relax.

Nordmarka is huge. And beautiful. And it can be used to absolutely everything. Things to do: Summer: Fish, swim, sleep under the stars, go camping, make a bond fire (NB! not always), hike for hours, go mountain biking. Fall: find mushrooms Winter: ski, sleep over at cabins (NB! you need to join Den Norske Turistforeningen for this), make bondfires and... More

It's a huge and excellent forest area where you can go skiing in the winter, walking, bicycling and hiking in the summer. You are at the gate of this great and wonderful forest after just 20 minutes with the metro from the city centre. It's just excellent, I love it.

Within 30 minutes from the Oslo trainstation, you can find yourself with a sensation of bring in the wild. Endless possibilities to hike. Great first impression of the diversity of Oslo. ❤️

Oslo is one of the largest cities in the world geographically. Most of it is Nordmarka which has beautiful scenieries, a uge network of walking ang skiing paths. You will find many small huts where you can enjoy your sandwich (niste) or buy a bun and coffee.

If y you're in Oslo and want to get away from it all then take the Frognerseteren line to the end and you literally walk off the tram to a mix of hiking trails. The ride to the end is about 30 minutes. Depending on the season you can hike, bike or ski. There are short and long trails available.... More

Nordmarka is huge, so it cannot really be reviewed accurately in a few words. You can walk for days in these extensive forests north of Oslo, both winter and summer. There are several lodges serving food and you can even spend the night in some of them. Nordmarka is excellent for hiking, skiing, biking and canoeing.

Just outside Oslo lies the enormous forest named Nordmarka. It's easy accesed by car, metro, train or bus. In half an hour your are far away from the city noice, and into the silence of the almost untouched natur. A very fine trip is to hire a bike, (or go by foot), take the train, the bus or the tram... The center of Oslo is actually in Nordmarka - but this area is totally free of cars and a serene and quiet place where you can walk for hours without seing anyone. Great for horseback riding as well and just taking the dog for a walk. In winter time it gets a bit more crowded with half the population on... More
