A guided bike tour or bike rental is the perfect way to discover Oslo, one of the world's greenest cities. A bike takes you to all the places a bus cannot: along the beautifully preserved fjord coastline, among the trees and lakes in Europe's largest urban forest, next to rushing waterfalls in the downtown, through the old castle grounds and the Royal Palace Gardens or perhaps along the stunningly modern car-free harbor. Let Viking Biking show you all Oslo has to offer.

Viking Biking rents bikes and gives 2-hour bike tours of Oslo. We had a great time riding with them. Paul, our guide, was really funny and gave a very pleasant orientation to the city with lots of vignettes about the sights we were riding past. We saw areas of the city we never would have come across on our own,... More

Hi and thank you for the nice review. We are glad you feel like the tour showed you sides of the city you wouldn't see otherwise. And you are right that when we are on back streets, the drivers are very respectful, making Oslo a pleasant place to discover by bike. Best regards, Curtis Rojak More

Really liked the tour. Interesting balance of information between historic, contemporary, cultural and commercial. Not overly exerting and plenty of fun.

We rented high quality bikes from Viking Biking on a beautiful Indian Summer day in September. The owner is a US ex-pat, and we enjoyed chatting with him about his life in Norway. We got excellent recommendations on where to ride, and were given a map clearly marked to show us the best routes. The next day we saw one... More

We hired bikes for the day from Viking which was just round the corner from our hotel. What a great way to get around and save those legs. We went all round the Bygdoy Peninsula, had beers in Frogner park, stopped at the Opera house. Such an easy way to get around as most of Oslo is flat, Viking gave... More

Rented a bike from the store and the owner (sorry didn't ask for your name) was extremely helpful. He gave me a nice route to follow and I saw parts of Oslo which I wouldn't have seen otherwise. In 4 hours I covered the city and the coast. Also got tips about where to go for the northern lights. Thanks... More

Hi and I am glad you enjoyed Oslo by bike. The coast was beautiful of recent with the coastal forest full of yellow and orange leaves. You wouldn't believe it, but we now have snow and things look a bit different! Winter has come to Oslo, and it sounds like you went in search of a real Norwegian winter experience... More

Did the bike tour this afternoon with Paul and it was excellent. Great way to see a lot of the city in a short period of time. Paul was very informative and made the tour very interesting and fun. Gave great recommendation afterwards on good places to eat which we really appreciated. Would definitely recommend the tour

We did the Oslo Highlights Bike Tour one afternoon in late October. We had less than 24 hours in Oslo and this was a brilliant way to pack all the major sights of the city into a few hours. If you're here for longer it would be a good way to orientate yourself to then re-visit some of the sights... More

Thanks Mike for the nice review. We are glad you enjoyed the tour and it is good fun to get around on bike. After 5 years in business and thousands of tours, we still bike around the city with smiles on our faces. Bikes bring out the inner child in us all :-) Best regards, Curtis Rojak More

The location of this shop is nice and central and the bikes were totally fine - we're glad we booked up in advance though as I think every single one had been taken apart from ours! They have different sorts too - we had city bikes but there may even be differences there too! We cycled along the coast as... More

Hi and thank you for the nice review. It sounds like you had a nice time enjoying Oslo by bike. You are right that it is best to book in advance during high season, as certain days can be very busy (for example, when we have cruise ships in port!). But in 2017, we will nearly double our bike fleet,... More

Our tour guide Simoni was wonderful at navigating our group throughout the city. We stopped at all the listed sights and even had free time to explore the area. We had a fabulous time on the river tour.
