Throughout my one year of commuting it has only been two or three delays on my beloved Sognsvann-line. The best option for getting around in Oslo.

With a 7 day card, access to every part of Oslo is readily available using the frequent trains which serve every district. Because the carriage doors are on the same level as the platforms, access is easy for wheelchair users or baby buggy pushers.

The public transport in Oslo is highly sophisticated and the best way to commute around the city. If one gets a day pass one can make the most of it. It is also included in the Oslo Pass.

Oslo is expensive. Very Expensive. Cars, gas, tolls, and parking is very, very expensive. So why not use the subway (T-Bane). Public transportation is excellent and makes it easy to get around in Oslo.

A 24h ticket was a good solution for our family of four, when we needed to get around downtown Oslo. We traveled from Tøyen, to city centre, to Majorstuen for a visit to Colosseum cinemas and Vigelandsparken. The tickets also are valid on buses and...More

We used the Oslo Metro system to visit Holmenkallen, to view the ski jump there. It was so easy, with ticket machines on every station that we passed. The price is NOK35 per person, each ticket lasts for one hour. So you can get off...More

Using the T-Banen couldn't be easier. All stations have ticket machines which accept credit cards. If in doubt, visit one of the help centers where you can ask advice and buy tickets. All trains run either East or West and the stations have good signs.

Hi, You have two train options. The airport train makes only one stop before Oslo from the airport and has space for luggage. The local train is cheaper and makes a couple of stops and when I took it, had no storage space... More

Sorry for the late reply. You need to take either the high-speed train or the bus from the Airport into Oslo.
