I read about its ceilings and stained glass, so we came there in the morning just for a few minutes. And I wasn't disappointed. The ceiling looks quite unusual, the whole view is nice. And if you're tired, there's a cafe just outside :)

It is an interesting Lutheran church. There are concerts played here and it is also used for Royal and state functions. It is an austere place.

There's not much special about this church, mainly due to it being Lutheran. It is simple inside and a concert was being set up when we went in. I'm sure that it would be great when a concert is being played.

I got the sense that this cathedral was very important to the Norwegians when religion was important to the people. But the importance of religion is eroding in this part of the world. The Norwegian Government and the Royal Family use this facility for Royal and State functions. By comparison to other European places of worship, it is relatively austere... More

The Oslo Cathedral is different from the majority of cathedrals you see around Europe in that it is Scandinavian. Look at the architecture and interior design, notice what makes it different yet unique and very special. If you are wanting to see a "traditional grand cathedral" you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for something beautiful in a... More

This church is the main parish of central Oslo. The inside has beautiful wood carvings and beautiful paintings. It is located near Karl Johans Gate.

There's not much to see inside and it's not impressive at all, just a regular church. No point in wasting your time for that.

This building is the Parish Church of downtown Oslo. It is located near the Karl Johans Gate. It dates from 1694. It is a formal Church of Norway. Its priest in charge is a woman. This country and its people count themselves a 72.9% Evangelical Lutheran although the great majority of the population do not believe in God or at... More

The Oslo Cathedral does not contain much to look at. It is a traditional Lutheran church. It does not have many features which grabs the attention. Perhaps its most attractive feature is the fact that it does not have much to look at. No flash photographing allowed inside.
