We toured this lovely old building during our visit to Oslo. The carved wooden Last Supper on its altar decoration, the magnificent pipe organ, and the colorful painted ceiling were highlights of the visit.

The Cathedral itself is beautiful. We went and there were people singing inside. We felt as though we were disturbing them so we did not stay long. It has quite an ornate ceiling as well. Worth stopping in.

A beautiful building built in the 17th century with decorations coming from the 18th. A result of a controversial renovation when the original ceiling paintings were destroyed in the 1940-ies, a typical practice of that time for Norway, according to what I've read in guidebooks...More

A wonderful simple space. Easy to pass it by, but spend a few minutes there and the memory will stay with you

I really am unsure about this place. Its architecture and surrounds look like it ought to be important. There is interesting decoration and art. The lack of information for the visitor is the problem. I hope the Cathedral authorities can rectify this..

What a glorious statement of the Reformed faith: simple; with space; but with some indulgence in art. The sculpture of the last supper was splendid and thought provoking; the reredos inspirational; the snake in the tiles by the font stimulating; the statue of Luther a...More

I was fortunate enough to attend a Friday afternoon service at this gorgeous cathedral. I would not have guessed from the outside that the inside was so lovely. I was provided with an English service guide and was able to follow the service. The people...More

I was in Oslo in April, the weather was nice, about 14-16 degrees C, you need something warm to sit outside if you want to enjoy your meal outside, that is very nice. It may rain also at that time.
