I was fortunate enough to attend a Friday afternoon service at this gorgeous cathedral. I would not have guessed from the outside that the inside was so lovely. I was provided with an English service guide and was able to follow the service. The people...More

After viewing a lot of the churches of Italy the Protestant churches in Scandinavia are much plainer but there are still interesting things to be seen. Be sure to look up at the ceiling which was painted in the 19th century. There is also an...More

It was Perfect. I have no words. You can see details in paintings , music instrument and architectural design than you can find only in this Cathedral.

When you’re in Europe you get taken to every cathedral in every city! When we had our own time to explore we found ourselves checking this one out. The exterior is nothing to look at except behind where the arches are. We were told it...More

You will need no more than 20 minutes, unless you go to attend a mass. Build in the late 17th nice tapestry and paintings and beautiful music pieces.

Fairly ordinary as far as Cathedrals go. Alfresco’s on the ceiling. I’m sure Norwegians love it. Go if you happen to be there/ or maybe not.

Oslo is not famous for its churches but this one, the main, is definetely interesting. Situed in the main street it will be easy to be found. Spend some of your time here, one of the best sight in this city.

I wouldn’t say it’s spectacular but if only are already in the area then it’s enjoyable to just walk around the building. There’s a cathedral cafe if you want to stop by for snacks. I didn’t go inside so can’t comment much

The Oslo Cathedral is well worth a visit as it has a really stunning interior which is so different from what we are used to in England. A really great ceiling, being really peaceful inside.

We passed this church several times in our travels before we finally got here when it was open. The sanctuary has some fantastic art painted on its ceilings, but it seems very different and darker (both in color and tone) than what we’ve seen in...More

I was in Oslo in April, the weather was nice, about 14-16 degrees C, you need something warm to sit outside if you want to enjoy your meal outside, that is very nice. It may rain also at that time.
