The term Oslomarka is usually used for all the recreational areas around Oslo. Marka is the administrative name for the part of it that lies inside the city limits and contains hiking trails, recreation facilities, forests and lakes.

Easy accessable forest near by Oslo. Oslomarka is a part og the larger area called Nordmarka. Oslomarka is suitable for skiing during the winter and hiking during summer - or you just take a walk. You can also visit the Holmenkollen skijump.

I never know any place in the world which has so many nature, cycling, running and walking trail like 30 mins from centre of oslo. U can walk here for days !!! not recommended in Winter, only in summer. You can camp here for Freee...More

Got a metro ticket from Oslo centre to Frognerseteren what a lovely ride out. Once there the view is stunning. After visiting Frognerseteren restaurant spent the best part of a day walking through the forest was lovely.

yes,but remember that we probably have snow then so biking will not be just the way you are used to. Enjoy your trip you are very welcome to Oslo

Yes, you get all info. you need at the central station, it takes 30 minutes to reach oslomarka with from there. Easiest is to take the metro to Sognsvann and start from there. Yes, 23 hours ticket is good.
