Lovely place to walk along the harbour front
Aug 2020 • Couples
A nice area to visit, close to transport links though a short walk from Palace, opera house and old fort. Lots of chain restaurants and cafes.

Great for walking and sightseeing
Aug 2020
This new walkway stretches nine kilometers along Oslo's waterfront. It connects many interesting areas like Aker Brygge, Tjuvholmen, and Sørenga. You will see some of Oslo's most spectacular architectural sights, such as the Oslo Opera House, and the tall, narrow buildings that make up the Barcode district. Beware of fast passing cyclists and electric scooters. It has become a problem everywhere.

Great walks along the trendy harbour front
Feb 2020
It seems that a lot of money and thought has gone into renervating the harbour area of Oslo. So many fantastic shops, bars, restaurants and cafes to visit plus the lovely new modern art gallery with views across the fjord.

Beautiful
Jul 2019
Beautiful place to stroll around to see the view or to just sit and have lunch or coffee. They are some great photo opportunities and some cool statues to see.

Lovely walk with great views and mix of old and new
Feb 2020
Joined the walk at around point 4 and then walked west, along the way past 2 promentaries, through the fortress and past the new opera house. Cold but crisp day with blue sky, Started early and found beautifully quiet spots, great people watching and views across the water. Lots of places to just sit along the route. Information points helpful and provide historical points to note. Plenty of place to eat or just sit and watch the views.

Excellent walking tour
Sep 2019
Oslo's Harbor Promenade is fabulous. It has a wide promenade where people can easily walk and has a set of attractions that are worth the way. From the sandy bay, the wooden beach to be able to take excellent pictures at sunset, a wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes overlooking the marina. In September we saw a very nice water and light show at the marina. In addition, there are also sauna boats. To me it's perfect.

Interesting Video Display
Nov 2019
On the day we visited, someone had put on a weird video display that was projected onto a spray of Water (50ft high). It was actually quite cool, and more enjoyable with the loud music accompanying it, large crowd and a very hot, hot chocolate from a nearby shop.

BEST COFFEE/EATING OUT LOCATION IN THE CITY
Nov 2019
Aker Brygga is the ideal place to wqatch the world go by as you're close to the piers with boats coming and going all day and there's a large variety of coffee shops, restaurants and some retail outlets all facing the harbourside. Also fish& chip & chinese street outlets for those wanting a cheaper experience.

Had some great walking weather
Oct 2019
A very picturesque view of the area and the Akershus fortress. It was a very windy day when we walked, but it was so beautifully clear that we didn't mind. It was a nice refreshing walk after busy travel day.
