We found the Ski senter by chance on a road trip and camped there in our motorhome (with electric hookup) for two nights. We found it a really good place to introduce our children aged 5 and 3 to the slopes. The nursery slope is free to use for children with a helmet. Very family-friendly and accessible, good amenities, friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English. No shortage of downhill equipment to hire - affordable prices. There were lessons available over weekends for children but we didn't sign up for this. The car park is really close to the slopes, as is the ski hire and the registration office. Easy to go at your own pace and there's a good travellator for children on the nursery slope. Friendly atmosphere. Fine to sled down the nursery slope, too. Lots of fun and very nice hot chocolate in the bar area which the children enjoyed. We didn't have pizza but it was a very popular choice with other customers! We were staying over New Year and it was a wonderful central point from which to watch the fireworks in the surrounding hytter. Beautiful surroundings and only a 14km dive from the nearest stores and fuel stations. We would definitely recommend Haukelifjell Skisenter to families like us and also to British travellers who want to try skiing but don't want the expense or the busy-ness of Alpine resorts. Norway is a great place to learn to ski!

Great ski senter. good parker only about 50 meters from the ski lifts. Suitable for all kinds of skiers from newbeginners to proff. It has all the things you expect. We parked our motor home close to the senter and had a great day.
