My wife & I sailed as 'trainees' for the second leg of the tall ships race from Lisbon to Cadiz. The crew were great - knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The food was good, the sailing was great and we wished the race was longer! We slept in hammocks, stood watches at 4:00 AM and still had a great time!

I sailed in convoy with other Tall Ships from Delfzijl (Netherlands) to Antwerp (Belgium). This beautiful ship was built in 1914 as a sail training ship and that is what she still does. You are part of the trainee crew and experience all aspects of life aboard, from steering, fire watch, lookout to climbing the rigging. I worked noon to... More

Built as a training ship for cadets. Understand quickly why it takes a brave soul to climb the rigging. Easy walk along the harbor and a chance to see some wonderful 200 year old homes. There is also a major history park/zoo along the walk.

The ship is magnificent, the food alright, they have a sild and shrimp coctail buffet. the cruise is the high light of course with sailing thru the local fjord. they always have the bars open and a good music group playing to help keep the party atmosphere going. great experience.

This old magnificent sailing ship is moored right by the famous old trading houses at Bryggen in Bergen. Beautiful it is! There are lots of other types of ship as well, Bergen harbour is very busy and full of life at all times, especially in the summer.

We were moored near by so able to take photos but not go aboard, I assume it is one of the bigger sail training ships.

We were sad to see it missing at its slip, as we came in on the Viking Star. We were glad it came back for Syttende mai!

We went out on an evening cruise on the fjords around Bergen, enjoying the scenery, live music on board and huge buffet with sea-food.
