Fish market located by the port. It is huge so you will not miss it. There are many interesting stuffs in the market such as live king crab (biggest I ever seen alive), salmon, sardine and other cool fish. It was fun to look at but it is very expensive to eat there.

After a AU$70 meal we were surprised when surrounded by 6 tables of locals drinking 1ltr glass bottles of free water with their boring old coffees we asked for a glass of water and were given bottled water and charged 30NOK for the privelege. When we tried to inquire why the girl walked away. We were the only english speaking... More

It's an okay place to take a trip and watch for a few minutes, but the quality of the fish and the prices makes this a tourist trap. You can get better fish at Rema1000 over the street

This is an amazing and diverse fish market, complete with a restaurant plus cheeses, breads, and jams for sale, too. Even Cloudberry Jam! It's conveniently located right in the very center of things, at the wharf. Very clean place, with friendly English-speaking staff. I was there to see if I could purchase some smoked salmon to bring home.....and they fixed... More

Helpful staff, who are willing to let you try anything you are unsure of it. A nice cheap breakfast (Norwegian or English) to start you off on the day too, good value for money.

If you want to see a thriving fish market as a slice of the daily life of the locals, you'll be disappointed. It's mostly for tourists and not that interesting. it's still worth a visit, but don't expect too much.

We went to this market to have lunch. It´s a very interesting place with lots of kiosks of sea foods. You can choose yours and they prepare for you. Very good option in Bergen

I have been here in winter time and unfortunately in winter the market place is much smaller than in summer! Fresh food and hostile people!

We wandered through here after dinner and were amazed at the variety of seafood available. You can eat meals here, and we were somewhat sorry we had not known that before, as it would have been a good choice.
