It was cool to walk through, and I’m sure it’s probably delicious. But it was a little fancier and pricier than we were looking for.

The fish market building is very modern building which contrasts nicely with the older style of many of the buildings in Bergen so it’s worth seeing. Inside is the most amazing array of fish for sale/ to eat there, some of which we had not...More

We visited here in late September and the market was very small and very expensive. I don't know if it was just because of the time of year? But, it was nothing like we thought it would be after reading the reviews. You can find...More

It is a great place but was disappointed due to the high expectation we had. We expected it to be a massive food hall, but found out that it was a small little place:) I am sure the food is good.

A visit to the Fish Market restaurant turned into major annoyance in discovering that whale meat was on offer. This is a disgusting revelation since Norway widely and publicly champions itself to be seriously environmentally friendly and vigorously protecting the planet by preventing pollution. So...More

Took some friends from outside of Norway for food here. They liked it a lot. The fishmarket is a nice place for tourists to get a taste of local food.

That's a good question, because Norway is not necessarily a "tourist friendly" country. My most striking experience was with Flam Museum in Oslo. The museum closed at 18:00 but the last bus was at 17:32... and there's no... More
