Make sure that there is one fjord in your future, - The Hardanger Fjord! We went as a family to fall in love with the scenery, the fjord and the mountains, and we bought a summer home in Jondal not far from the glacier Folgefonn.

We went here for a Sundaytrip in June 2016, and I have to say that this is the most beautiful Place I have been. Really fantastic views and locations. Must see place in Norway.

This mediocre review isn't as much of an indictment against Hardanger Fjord itself as it is the amount of time it takes away from exploring Bergen and other areas that aren't as far away. While parts of the Hardangerfjord were beautiful, overall, it all looks the same after an hour or so. We did not feel that an entire day's... More

Norway in a nutshell was our full day trip I am so glad we did it and sad it had to end. Some of the most beautiful moments offered by nature and local views ever. It is a long day and freezing on the boat. The interior of boat is so well prepared for passengers and families. We would go... More

We got great views of all the best fjords in Norway during our trip. Apart from witnessing it during our drive, we stayed at a private home for 2 nights in Sekse, Hordaland facing the Hardanger Fjord. The view was absolutely breathtaking. If you wish for a similar experience, use the search term 'Ingunn sekse' on your preferred search engine.

We took an autumn ride from Bergen to Eidfjord and then back along the Hardangerfjord and it was magnificent. It was as if there was peace on the world, no stress and nothing bad could ever happen :) Beautiful nature with the classical Norwegian wooden houses every once in a while. Narrow roads so that sometimes theres not enough space... More

Vast fjord with fantastic scenery at every turn. Even in poor weather it looked impressive, but in sun it must be jaw dropping. Having visited New Zealand's remote Milford Sound we found this much more impressive and it's hard to believe it's so close to home in the UK. We used a ferry to see everything.

It was beautiful and clean and a boat ride was the best way to see the fjord but coming from Canada, nothing we haven't seen before. Probably not the most Canadian politically correct comment to state but it's the truth.

To avoid the hassle of taking the Norway-in-a-Nutshell tour, we decided to rent car from Bergen and drive for two and a half days around Sogne and Hardanger Fjords. It was a great experience and costs only a little more than a NIN tour for two. Of course, if you consider that we got to see a great deal more,... More

Having traveled from Bergen to Flam by car last month, I'd highly recommend bypassing much of E16 and take the "scenic route" Fv7 along the north shore of Hardangerfjord. While not quite as dramatic at Sognefjord or Geirangerfjord to the north, it is a great introduction to the region. Beautiful & bucolic, with interesting stops and vistas along the way.... More
