Nothing earth-shattering, but beautiful scenery and a real sense of living along the fjord. The historical narrative is helpful. It is 3 hours well spent, especially if you are not going to get the see 'inland' any other way.

I hope that I'm not too late. We just came back from Norway on a Viking cruise & the best port we were at was Eidfjord. Definitely travel on 13 across the Suspension Bridge, there are roundabouts in the tunnel at each end, & before you enter them there is a lookout point to take pics. Stop @ Skjervsfossen Waterfall, it's close to the road. We took the train from Voss to Geilo & the bus driver met us there to drive us across the Hardangervidda Plateau back to Eidfjord on highway 7 - You can drive on 7 from Eidfjord to see the Voringsfossen/Fossli Hotel & the dam - Sysendammen. The plateau is amazing but it's a very long drive & no facilities on it. I thought this part of Norway was spectacular to see. Sounds like a wonderful two days there!
