We visited on a cruise ship and decided the queue for the sightseeing bus was too long. We purchased tickets for the train and then had to go back at the allocated time. The trip was really informative - saw lots of Alesund that we...More

Very nice tour just of the pier if you go on a cruise and very affordable. It takes you around the city and you can return later to see what you like the most.

Alesund was a cruise port stop and the day we arrived the weather was a bit “iffy”, but we booked the train and were very glad we did. What fun to see the city this way. The train took us around town, then up to...More

If there's anything one remembers from this trip it's the year 1904. That is when all the wooden houses in the whole city burned down and were all rebuilt in art nouveau style. The narrative on this 70-minute tour drummed this in over and over....More

This was great. Long enough to really see the highlights and still have time to try a restaurant and some stores. Nice ride thru the neighborhoods to the view point and the house that would not burn.

Took the City Train sightseeing tour. It was fun and the price was reasonable. They provided headphones and the commentary was available in nine languages.
