We live in Stavanger, but haven't taken a guided tour around the city and thought it would be fun. It was Halloween weekend coming up, so we four 2 parents with one adult daughter + her friend, thought to try the Dark Side (seasonal) tour. Our guide was excellent, with all kinds of information about Stavanger's dark past (it wasn't that scary). We walked around the city center, getting information at prespecified locations and the guide company had set up people in costumes acting out little skits from the period. All involved were courteous and professional. It was drizzly (yr), so think about proper clothing. It is an entertaining way to learn about the city and we will likely join a regular tour in future.

My second time at the food tour, this time in English. As last year, this always sells out so would recommend getting tickets early. The best parts are the unique meals the different places sometimes serve as well as the ability to buy small measures of wines. The standout last year was dessert at Bellies and this year was the fish course at NB Sorenson, otherwise it is true that it is more expensive than just visiting 5 restaurants and having your favourite items from the menu. The guide was pleasant and enthusiastic and adds a bit of historical and factual context. Overall, I would recommend as a fun activity out.

It was a little interesting to know more about the city that we are living in by the food. The guide was nice. The only issue is that she speaks very low, so it was terrible trying to listen to her. On the other hand... The food... It was not that good for the price (especially the hamburger.. Netter places by far here in Stavanger!). Also, I have food allergies and I was so happy that this was taken care of when I pay for this experience and I wrote my information. The only issue is that this was not taken care of in the real-life... I have dairy (milk, butter, cream, etc) and soy allergies, but when I came to the restaurants they only focused on Lactose-free (not the same!)... So, of course, I spent almost all the trip in the toilet (I talked with the guide and she told me that she will give the feedback to the locals, but nothing else).

Wanderful walk around Stavanger. Good food and friendly and welcoming events at 5 different restaurants (Bar Negroni, Gaffel & Karaffel, Foodloose, Bølgen og Moi, Eg & Du in Østervåg). The restaurant Foodloose was a bit chaotic and unprepared, but the food as such was very nice. Enthusiastic and pleasant guide.

The content of the restaurant experience was poor. Only Sabi Sushi and party Hekkan made us happy. The Food was the Key Object to be experienced, and the other places failed totally.
