- FoodBoardEssex, United Kingdom95 contributionsWorth a visit …will be better when works are completeWe visited March and April. Walked there at least once a day when visiting local area. Negatives Pier still closed for refurbishment as is another building. Not good experience at all in Copperfish - see my other review, which was extremely disappointing and contributed to just three stars on this review. Positives Plenty of undercover areas both inside and out. Especially for unpredictable English weather! Overall clean and tidy. Staff at the big wheel all excellent. It had rained when we went on and they even wiped the windows incase we wanted to take pictures. Lovely, happy and polite and actually appeared to care about their job. Dogs can also go on big wheel. Discount for students and others (see photo for details). Looks great when lit up at night too.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 5 April 2024
- kmarie937Swansea, United Kingdom15 contributionsFantastic! Thank you!A huge thank you to Andrew and all the staff today for fitting us in and allowing us to have our end of season presentation in The Games Room. A fantastic space for parents and kids to enjoy, and it was even better to have our own little bar. Was a fantastic afternoon. Chips were spot on, plenty to do all round. The weather may have let us down today but the Pier did not. We will definitely be returning- thank you ☺️Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 18 May 2024
- Adventure295720815012 contributionsUnique party venue- Highly recommended for private hire!We held our Staff Christmas Party here in January 2024, and we all had a fantastic evening! Everything was great, from the venue to the food and staff. The highlight of the evening was definitely the hour we spent in the arcades, a unique and enjoyable option which you can add on to your package for a small additional charge. Chloe was excellent in coordinating with us beforehand, making sure everything was perfectly set up for the event. On the night, Cameron and his team took great care of us. We highly recommend this venue for anyone planning a private function. We will not hesitate to return in the future. Thank you from everyone at the King Arthur!Visited January 2024Travelled on businessWritten 2 July 2024
- Genevieve N2 contributionsFabulous! We visited on a lovely Sunday afternoon, the day of the air show. The pier was as welcoming as ever and after a delightful walk on the beach, we were greeted by Will who couldn’t do enough for us. It’s always a pleasure to see a young man taking pride in his work and Will was no exception. A real down to earth, honest kinda guy. Well done to Will and all of the staff for making a stunning venue an even better place to enjoy a few hours.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 July 2024

We were served at the prize desk by Angharad who was really polite and really engaged with our 4 year old who was being a little slow in choosing but she didn’t rush us and made us feel really comfortable. Lovely coffee and cake in the cafe after.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 July 2024

The ice cream cost £3:45 for one very small scoop. We passed Verdi s on the way back to the car and looked in at their prices which were cheaper and a huge scoop. - jules102016Norwich, United Kingdom55 contributionsWales tourThe pier is worth walking down to. The stairs to get down are quite steep but there is a lovely coffee shop/restaurant as a reward on the pier. You can walk out on the pier but they were doing work to help restore it when we were there in June, so you can't get the whole way down to the end.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 July 2024

Good old fashioned fun with 2p machines, there were more challenging machines for every age, as a typical seaside pier should be, the ice creams next door were excellent and had a great choice. There was pay and display parking and when you finished I the arcade and cafe a stroll along to the new lifeboat station is must but care should be taken as the pier is being renovated. If you feel like a stroll back to town there are play areas, a miniature golf course and places to picnic should it rain.

Last Wednesday I took my 2 children with a friend and her 2 children to the pier for the Easter event. I just wanted to let you know how wonderful the staff are that work for you! To begin with, the lady who was working on the Easter Bunny hut was so welcoming, she couldn’t do enough for us. She engaged our children, made it a fun experience for them meeting the Easter bunny, and offered to take endless photos of the experience. She was informative, helpful and accommodating. She even sorted out for us to use the private room to do our Easter crafts because I couldn’t get my baby’s pram up the stairs to take part!
Then there was a lovely young man who noticed we were looking for somewhere to sit but the benches were wet, so he took it upon himself to show us to the undercover area where it was dry. A second young man then approached us and helped me to lift the pram onto the platform, and even switched the heated lamp on for us to keep warm.
In the private room, a lovely young lady played Disney music for us and let us stay as long as we wanted to do the crafts. The young man who helped me lift the pram then gave my son some Encanto crafts to do which he loved.
I wish I had caught all of their names because it really did stand out to me how much genuine care and consideration your staff give to their customers! They all went above and beyond, and were genuinely lovely people. It made our morning so calm and enjoyable. As a single mum, that means the world to me to have such generous and considerate people to lend a helping hand. If you could extend my thanks and appreciation to your staff from today. We will definitely be making many return visits to the pier because of this. 🥰

Lovely! Went with my three sons (6,8,10) on a day trip down to mumbles. Lovely views first all and the arcade was well staffed and had plenty of games. We went to the cafe at the front for drinks and some food (the chefs curry is absolutely delicious highly recommend!). We sat inside which meant we had our order taken, quickly and with very kind waitress. Food was served quickly too and the ice-cream was very nice. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend can't wait to go again!

Absolutely waste of time no parking infustructor cannot cope with the amount of traffic wouldnt make a difference if you iused public transport. Did hear that in 1920 they had a tram line direct from city centre to the pier seems like the council have gone made things worse than 100 years ago. Also skate park should be city centre just looks abit daft and would be difficult to get to with the disastrous traffic system. Never again unless they reinstated the tram line .

Been stopping here for a cooked breakfast (after the walk from Caswell) for many years. Not only have the prices rocketed ( eg Rhosilli breakfast from 7 to now around 13£) , the quality has gone in the opposite direction. I always appreciated the modest portions but really tasted local produce. It sure where ingredients are sourced today but the flavour seems to have gone. As we were late having brekkie on our last visit we decided to walk food down with a well earned pint (ipa and lager respectively). Both serviced at room temp so had to ask for ice. Worse still the ipa had a most peculiar taste - something not right with how the bar is managed alongside the kitchen me thinks.
No point complaining as the place seems to be run by extremely young adults (nearly more than children) who were very sweet but probably not capable of responding constructively to customer feedback.
Will not come back until things (prices unlikely to move in right direction, food quality, service) dramatically improves. Shame.

Really disappointed! We went around 7pm on a Saturday evening. I took a visit to 4 change machines before we found one working and then again wandering around for a working 2p change machine.
A lot of the games were either broken, jammed or turned off. We lost £3 to games not working. There were plenty of staff it seemed but they all stuck to the prize area and weren't the most helpful.
We stayed less than 30 mins because we begrudged spending anymore money there. Very disappointing visit!

Disappointed as seafront & sea defences are under construction. Locals were unsure if the pier has a future. Seafront should look nice once building works completed but they were clearly doing major works & no sign of being completed anytime soon.

My boyfriend and I visited the arcade and were very impressed by the maintenance and variety of the machines and had a fantastic time! However, the social distancing was dreadful! We were the only people wearing masks, no machines were blocked off to allow a safe distance between customers and there was far too many people inside the building! The only covid measure was hand gel by the door. If we were not in a pandemic, I would thoroughly recommend as the prices were fair and the machines were great. However, due to there being very little effort to be covid-secure, I would deem it unsafe.

I had a fabulous, but busy (shopping in Swansea City Centre, visiting Singleton Park and the Mumbles) day with my sister and nephews. We decided to end the perfect day with a visit to the arcades at the Mumbles Pier. The pier was undergoing restoration work, but was busy with a cafe, a shop and bowling alley, as well as the arcades. Most of the machines were working and the boys thoroughly enjoyed their time at the pier. There were fantastic views across the water.

Avoided Verdis as thought this would be cheaper but wasn't the case. I ordered a jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn, when it arrived it was ice cold so I asked for a new one but when it was brought back they had simply chucked the whole thing in the microwave (tuna and everything) so you can imagine warm sloppy, slimy tuna was not very appetising. Staff placed drinks on the table with fingers around the top of the glass, also very unhygienic, wouldn't visit the cafe again.

We have paid to park the car £6 up past the apple, if we go to the car park down by the pier do we have to pay again

Where's the best car park to park near by ??? Thanks .
Written 15 September 2020
We parked on the long stay car park just before the roundabout in town The White Rose pub is on the corner of the roundabout we got lucky with a space both days £6 for the say. It's nice walk along the promenade to the pier from there anyway. There weren't any spaces at all closer to the pier

Hi is the pier open now and are there illuminations in the evening on the sea front?
Written 14 August 2018
I wouldnt think the pier would be open yet it looked like a big job.
you could always ring the arcade of cafe to ask them?
Written 15 August 2018
is there a bus that goes from downtown Swansea to the pier or is it waklable distance?
Written 16 March 2018
The 2B bus leaves Swansea bus station, Bay W, at a quarter to the hour. It runs to the pier, but I recommend you dismount in Mumbles and walk to the pier along the sea front. It’s about a mile to walk. (Buses 2 and 2C also run to Mumbles from Swansea). At the moment, 16 March, the actual pier is closed for repair work, but the cafe, restaurant and amusement arcade are open on the forecourt. Hope this helps.
