We had no idea that our first president, George Washington, visited Barbados and his purpose of going there. The guide was very respectful and informative. I highly recommend doing the "tunnel" portion of the tour as well. It's another interesting and surprising part of Barbados.
If on a time crunch get a taxi from airport which are generally more "on time" than the local mini van type taxis which locals use. Also, get pricw before entering any "taxi" or be prepared to pay more than you should.
