Beautifully kept, worship has been held since the 5th century and an amazing mosaic in remarkable condition to prove it (you have to look into the enclosed area for the priests to see it). Filled with fine religious artwork and a sense of continuity.

This is an 11th century church built upon an earlier 6th century church. A must visit if you’re in the neighbourhood. 11th century! The battle of Hastings was in the 11th century!
