Llandudno was a town that rose in popularity during the Victorian era. As a result it has a nice sea front and promenade as well as a shopping street directly behind it. This road is Mostyn Street and even in this age where online shopping is still quite popular there are a number of shops on the street.

There are a variety of chain stores as well as independent traders which is great to see. There is also the Victoria Shopping Centre which is a more modern small shopping centre.

At the end of Mostyn Street it is a short walk to the railway station where there are regular trains to Llandudno Junction, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Chester and Manchester Airport.

It's a nice area to visit on a rainy day when it is not a good idea to sit on the front. You can have a nice mooch about in the different shops and get a hot drink and something to eat.

This is very similar to Southport's Lord street. The well maintained glass canopies outside the shops reminded me of it. Just no antique shops. Where Lord street has several.

This street is just behind the promenade and has all the shops because the promenade itself has none.

Very classy and better than most seaside resorts.

Very unspoilt main street, in keeping with the rest of Llandudno. Same shops been here a while, and at the bottom end is the more modern retail square with several major stores. 90 mins free parking along the street and plenty car parks dotted around.

Mostyn Street is a lovely area to shop with many independent outlets alongside the more well known high street names. It does get a little crowded as it is fairly popular with both locals and tourists alike. There are the lovely metal balustrades along some of the terraces of shops -not sure if they are Victorian or Edwardian but they make a handsome addition to the old building facades.

In many ways takes you back ..if of a certain age like me!
Plenty of independent businesses such a joy to see and hopefully will continue for many years. Interesting architecture and don't forget to look up as lots of little features above ground floor level

This bar made our weekend break perfect. The food and drink was excellent ‘ however’ nothing to compare with the staff Dillon in particular gave us the Irish flavour and a comfortable homely feeling. The girls Emily and Lauren threw in a Welsh flavour. Can’t wait to go back. We’ve booked August. Excellent Irish bar with gorgeous food.

Mostyn Street compares well with, for example Cheltenham or Bournemouth; although with wider streets. This is where the money and quality shopping was planned to be.. Now the commercial heart of the town with its fair share of cafes, restaurants and independent shops, as well as the major bus stops. Being just a few minutes walk from the seaside, and close to the best hotels Mostyn street was always going to succeed, although there are some shopping centre now.

So many lovely eating places in Mostyn Street, we were spoilt for choice. Social distancing was great in the cafes/restaurants we used, food was great too. Lots of shops here you can spend time just window shopping if you choose, have lunch then get out and buy. It's a busy street but very safe to visit and so close to the pier and sea side amenities.

Love Mostyn Street! Just a lovely feel about the place from top to bottom. It's relaxed, there's lots of cafes, bars and plenty of gift shops. We spent a morning walking from top to bottom one side, then back up the other. Bought some doughnuts in a bakers at the bottom - pricey but amazing!

Lovely walk from the top to the bottom of town, lined with shops including well known high street brands, independent businesses and tourist / gift shops. Additionally there are two arcades one at the top and one at the bottom. There is a wide range of cafes again both big names and independent businesses so suit all needs. Street is very clean and well taken care of with the shops with original Victorian features, the main base of Llandudno :)
