I took father-in-law to visit the museum and he was taken back to WW2 by the excellent exhibits. The guides showed a deep understanding of the events and were able to chat to him about local war time activities . A brilliant day out and extremely educational as well as fun. Full marks to all the volunteers

We had a fabulous few hrs here. It's bigger than expected and full of gems. Definitely recommend although the 14 yr olds enjoyed they weren't as impressed as us oldies!

this air raid shelter is hidden away in clifford road school and from what i can recall it is not open all the time. All the items down there are of great interest most of which i can remember as a child. well worth a visit even for the next generation.

I haven't been to see the air raid shelter for years, but it is even better than I remember. It is not the biggest museum but I love the old London Underground carriage, the amazing war paraphernalia and the air raid sirens in the blackout area. There are huge amounts of artifices to sift through and it's only £2 to... More

Took my parents here having seen it advertised thought nice trip down memory lane for them. Wasn't expecting quite such a amazing place as what was actually there. Modern day pricing of places being what they are. Here was shocked at how little it cost to get in but amazed at how much they have got to see and see... More

This little museum is an eye opener for the young of today. It holds many memories for us older folk. Both my children went to Clifford Road School and the museum never failed to interest us. Somehow it even smells right. The exhibits are very varied and there is a photo of a bombed house, it is in Romney Road... More

The shelter was discovered in the grounds of a school when they were digging up part of it to install a pond. Needless to say the pond didn't get done. Inside the shelter was chock full of WW2 memorabilia including a couple of items the Imperial War Museum doesn't have. As part of a group, we were taken round by... More

Very informative visit, plenty of parking outside the school or in the play ground - a bit cold, but then it is winter.
