About
Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is an award winning wildlife park, rare breeds farm, restaurant and wedding venue based in the heart of Suffolk. The wildlife park, owned by TV presenter and conservationist Jimmy Doherty, is home to world class facilities such as Europe’s largest polar bear reserve. ‘Sharing the Good Life’ encapsulates their belief that the natural world should be accessible and available to all and they have a newly launched charity called Space for the Wild which will drive their conservation efforts. From pigs to polar bears the park is a centre of excellence for British rare breeds as well as camels, primates, tapir and crocodiles amongst other animals.

    Fantastic VIP animal crossing encounter
It’s way over a decade since I last visited. I moved out of that part of the country a long time ago. It was a joy to return and see all the new developments. We came for a VIP animal encounter and it was superb. We’ve had a few animal adventures in different places but this was by far the best value. The ranger was excellent, his love for the animals and the farm was so apparent and he was so knowledgeable. We fed anteaters, played with meerkats, stroked lemurs and tapirs. We enjoyed the sheep and goats too. Had a decent meal in the restaurant and look around the shop. The ranger really made the day outstanding, some really happy memories made.
Thank you for your lovely 5* review, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your VIP Experience with us and have seen the improvements made since you last visited. :)

Lovely day out for the whole family.. lots for my toddler grandson to do as well. Cost was very reasonable.
From start to finish.. brilliant!! Restaurant very good.. all the staff at Jimmys friendly and happy to chat….And very helpful. We loved seeing all the animals and the play areas great for all ages. It had been very rainy but the walkways were gravelled and easy to walk, a great relief as we’d left the wellies at home. Thank you Jimmy ( who was very polite) for a great day.
Thank you for your lovely 5* review, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your day with us and seeing Jimmy.

Great day out for all family
We had amazing time at Jimmy’s farm today. The place was beautiful, friendly, clean, spacious and there was lots to do for children all day. We especially loved the rare animals, crocodiles and walk with butterflies enclosure. Children enjoyed the bouncy pillows and yummy ice creams. I highly recommend to visit and would have purchased membership but we are not local sadly.
Thank you for your lovely 5* review, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your day with us!

    Disappointed
Went on a week day and no food stands were open, only drinks and crisp available unless you went to the restaurant where there was not much choice on a hot day when you don’t want a full meal. Butterfly house was very disappointing as only one butterfly in there dispite the sign in there saying it was jimmys life dream 😆. The glass on the enclosures made it very difficult to see inside due to reflections . Overall the animals seemed happy and well cared for.

    Family Fun Day !
Had heard lots about this place, came recommended by work colleagues & it was worth a visit. Plenty of room for the animals to run around & don’t forget the donkeys at the top of the hill…. Probably enough to do for about 2 1/2 hours. Not the best sign posted (map provided). I must admit that after we’d seen the advertisements, I did expect more for the price.. On a positive, the food is absolutely amazing.. They do the best sausage roll we’ve ever had, anywhere !!!! All in all, worth a visit, just don’t expect too much….
Hi there, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your day. We do have some big expansions happening so keep your eyes peeled to see what else we are bringing to Suffolk! :)

    'Charming Camels' indeed
Fantastic wildlife park with lots to see and do. On this occasion I visited specifically to participate in the CHARMING CAMELS experience received as gift. It's amazing to be up close with such wonderful animals; they were indeed very charming - and just a little bit naughty too! The animals are clearly well looked after, keepers were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about them, and it was excellent value for money, given other parks offer experiences greatly exceeding in price. A special shoutout to keeper Jay for a great experience.
Hi, we're are thrilled to hear you had a wonderful camel experience with Ranger Jay, and that you got to meet our Bactrian Camel family, yes Audrey can be a bit cheeky sometimes! We hope to see you again soon :)

    Great Day Out
Wonderful day out with our at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park. It is really well laid out with lots of lovely animals. We went to the reptile handling and Suffolk Punch events. The staff who ran the the events were friendly and provided lots of interesting information about their charges. The highlight of our day was a visit to Dolly’s Fishing were we meet a lovely traditional fisherman who helped our granddaughter catch her first fish.
Hi there, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your day out with us! Fishing with Dolly is a Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park must so its good to hear you got the chance to do it :)

    Enjoyable day out
Really enjoyed our day at the wildlife park. Lots of different animals in lovely environment all looking happy and well cared for. Our favourite was the anteater it was great to see it awake and wandering around its enclosure at other zoos they are asleep and you don't see it much. Only grip was the price of the ice cream which was a bit expensive.

    Great Farm/Zoo
Great place to go with kids, also great if your on your own or as a couple, friendly staff and loads areas to have a break and food available, animals are well looked after and look comfy in there surroundings, can also feed some of the animals with feed available on site, price is probably about right. Car parking is available for all sizes of car. Most walk ways are very easy to get to and go round and see all the animals and most you can see quite close up. Would definitely recommend a visit 👌 Also play areas for the little ones so parents can take a breather 🙂 You can book online a time slot to arrive which is easier to do and get through quicker.

Another lovely visit to Jimmy’s farm
Our second visit to this park (last time was 2021) and loved it even more this time. Great value for money day out. Lots of animals - both farm animals and wild animals plus lots of other attractions such as the bouncy pillows and the adventure playground. Plenty of interaction with the animals and feed is only £1 a box. Check out the board near the entrance for times of talks/ interactions etc Plenty of places to eat (heigh season) and the Hair of the Hog outside pub in the woodland area is a lovely place to have a drink. Overall we really enjoyed this family day out. It wasn’t overly busy and you can have a pretty chilled day.

Haven’t been to Jimmys for many years and wow, what a transformation. Lots of new animals and loads of room for them to explore. The polar bears were delightful. Had lunch at the little cafe and it was delicious and reasonably priced.
Couple of points - Entrance isn’t particularly well signposted and needs improvement.
Butterfly house very disappointing due to lack of stock!

Really enjoyed our visit. Loved seeing all of the animals, especially Polar Bears who were very playful. Wolves howling. Bigger park than we thought and lots to see.
Finished off with coffee and cake.
Only thing I can suggest is more benches to sit down on.

Lots of animal firsts made an exciting first visit. The enclosures were bigger than many other places and well maintained.

The staff were knowledgeable, personable, and made the experience fantastic! :) Thanks so much for answering our questions!

Vegan options at the cafe (would love a vegan sausage bap option!) and pushchair accessible all round.

A friendly and welcoming experience. Thanks!
