Our regular pottery classes are perfect for people wanting to make a commitment to a regular creative hobby. These classes are suitable for all levels and all pottery styles; whether you want to learn about hand building techniques, throwing or surface decoration. Individuality is encouraged and throughout the term you will be able to try your hand at as many or few techniques as you would like. Whether you’re a novice or professional and whether you’re looking for a one off taster or a more regular course to hone your skills – we offer something for everyone. All of our classes are delivered in a relaxed and creative environment at our studio With a maximum class size of 10, equal focus is given to learning skills, creative development and giving each individual space to carve their own pottery experience. My mum and I went last week as a late birthday gift! We had an amazing experience and both the owner and the lad working with him were very knowledgeable and helpful! I thoroughly recommend going if you’d like giving pottery a go!

I was bought a pottery taster session for my birthday.
They get booked up quite quickly so be patient.
I was in a group of 3 other people to throw our pots.
Mark does a demonstration of how to throw a pot first.
Then it was my turn to take the wheel!
It was pretty easy to centre the clay but not so easy to pull it up into a pot. Mark is fantastic in guiding you though to make your pots.
Once you have made your pots, you then get to decorate a vase, tile or pot. This is brilliant and made me very creative!
Once my pots were hardened, I then went back to decorate them. I really found this process so relaxing and therapeutic.
I received a text message to say they had been fired and ready to collect about 10 days after.
I'm happy to say they survived the firing and am over the moon with the finished product.
Thank you Mark and your glamorous assistant.
I cannot recommend you enough!

I booked a taster session for my husband and I for our wedding anniversary. The whole experience was brilliant. Skilled and supportive guidance enabling us to produce pots on the wheel. We came back to paint them and love the moment of our time together.

Some friends and I did the taster class where we got to make a bowl and vase and then decorate a pre-made bowl, we had a fantastic time with Mark and his assistant, we absolutely loved the experience and will be looking to do more in the future! Mark posted our pottery out to us once it had been fired so we have some great functional mementos of the day

I have been attending evening classes for several months now and it is such a lovely hobby to have.
Mark is a great tutor and I can now throw a pot by myself (most of the time 😉)
I look forward to my Wednesday nights a lot.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at TradPots with Mark. A friend and I booked on a whim as it's something we'd always wanted to try and we are so pleased we did. Mark is a fantastic teacher, very patient, knowledgeable and just an all round nice guy. We got to make two pots on the wheel under his very watchful but relaxed guidance and paint one premade pot.
Lovely setting and great vibes. Have recommended to some other friends and we will definitely be back! Thanks so much :)

My daughter (13yrs) had always wanted to try her hand at pottery and this was the perfect class for her. Mark was so welcoming and friendly and she quickly found her confidence. Making and going back to paint her pots a few days later was the perfect start to our holiday, and even better the pots were fired and ready to take home before we left! Brilliant! I'd highly recommend Tradpots Studio to anyone wanting to relax and be creative!

My friend and I just finished a taster session this morning and loved it. We painted a bowl and made two more! The guy there was super helpful and guided us through the whole thing. Will be recommending to friends and family

Hi coming down over Easter holidays do you do private class for 4 beginners who would love to learn how to make a pot then paint it perhaps?
