This was our 2nd visit to Compton Acres. As RHS members for some years, we were looking forward to taking our two children (3 and 1) for the first time. They love Wisley Gardens, which we visit often and find an absolute joy. Unfortunately the beautiful gardens here were ruined by a rude lady at the entrance who clearly didn't... More

I was here for a works meeting and what a place, a lovely walk through the gardens, found the food and drinks were really good, as was the service. Parking was easy and I would certainly come again, in my own time.

A garden visit which will long last in the memory! Our particular visit was at the end of January and still offered plenty of colour and variety. There is a wide range of plants all displayed within differing garden areas which are themed to add pleasure and show off the plants at their best. These include Japanese to Italian style.... More

Don't get me wrong it's a lovely set of gardens in a beautiful overall setting and nice little cafe but it's definitely not worth the cost especially if you have kids.

The acres has been established for many many years and feels like it. An integral part of the town it takes you through a variety of themed gardens - japanese, Itailian, English etc in the most tranquil of surroundings. Nice way to spend a morning or afternoon.

Well worth a visit to this beautiful winding gardens, there is water meandering to a pond. Lovely views of the sea, formal gardens, a Japanese garden, a café en-route and main restaurant at the entrance. A shop full of beautiful things too! Occasionally you get a sighting of a bride to top it off. Yes, you can even get married... More

Compton Acres is no where near the attraction it used to be but is still a pleasant experience for the older generations and plant lovers. Good tea room, but admission to gardens is not cheap.
