We use the ferries, to relax and see all the other sights in the harbour. You can see the million pound properties alone Sandbank, all the islands, branksea castle or take the ferry along the Jurassic coast.

Took the trip on a windy day. Could not do the Swanage trip owing to the weather. Nice helpful crew. Boat very clean. Plenty of safety equipment.

Fabuloso for a fun windy bouncy ride around the islands with running commentary. The crew is highly skilled sea-farers so you'll feel and be very safe out on the water. Dogs allowed and enjoy the wind blowing up their snouts. Youngsters are bemused but it's...More

What's not to like about this ferry ride across to gorgeous Brownsea Island. It's pleasant, short, great views from all seats and staff keep you safe. Always runs on time & boats seem in good repair.

Very friendly staff and very interesting trip. Lots of information and history too. We had the best weather. What a lovely place. Just feel sorry for the staff having to sail around Poole Harbour day in day out, Very envious !!

Cute little boat for the crossing from Poole Harbour or Sandbanks to Brownsea Island. These have been running for over 100 years!

The ferry service is well run and punctual (every half hour till 5pm). The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a charge for this service which also does harbour tours.

spent about an hour touring the harbour, did not get off at Brownsea but stayed on for the trip. If you get off at Brownsea it is additional £8 unless you are a member of National Trust, skipper very knowledgeable of local islands etc.

Cheaper ferry is from Sandbanks as it is a shorter crossing (£6.50 as I recall) Free access to island if you are a NT member.
