Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe.

The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Sandbanks is a beach that I will rate as one of the best in the country. Great location, great parking, great facilities and great beaches. The food stroke refreshments are second to none for a beach and the toilets are spotless. Keep it up you are a great place to bring the family and dogs and relax.

Having been to Bournemouth last year and stopped at a 4 star.hotel, we decided to stop at the Haven Hotel in Sandbanks, as its location just looked fantastic. We read the reviews and decided on a Sea View de luxe, double room with a balcony facing one way towards Brownsea Island and the other balcony looking towards Bournemouth. Apparently there... More

By far the best beach in the uk. Clean beach with lifeguards and the sea is so clear you can see the bottom for miles. Also has the most beautiful houses but only affordable for the rich and famous.

Nice sandy beach and facilities to hand. Was clean but fairly empty for the Easter holiday. Probably because it costs £2 an hour to park if you can find a space. The ticket machines wouldn't take cash, seemed to be jammed, and people were struggling to book on mobiles. There is a promenade at the back for wheelchair users.

Been a few times for the dog's holiday and stay in sandbanks on the peninsular side. The beach is fully dog friendly October to April and some parts all year. If your looking for a beach holiday with your dog - this is the place.

Fab beach beautiful sandy shore. It has lots of places to buy food, icecreams and childrens toys, swimsuits etc. Only let down was the car parking. The machines didnt work well so couldnt put cash in. One guy was able to use a card eventually and we had to register to pay by phone. Parking is about £2 per hour.

Beautiful sandy beach. As it was Easter I thought it would be busy but it wasn't which was great. Nice play area for kids as well. Good family fun despite lots of dogs running around on the beach. I would have preferred the dogs to be on their leash.

Come here every year, clean safe and welcoming the sandbanks is a fantastic beach to visit, have spent countless hours enjoying the sunshine and sea. Great amenities, with lots of places to get food and drink and a good shop with lots of beach toys/games on offer. Nothing better than watching the sun go down sat on the beach, perfect!
