Fantastic place for a winter walk. Plenty of open space so staying away from other visitors was easy. Beautiful grounds and so much wildlife to be seen around the deer park.

Had a wonderful trip to Raby to visit Father Christmas with our two young children. The grounds were beautiful and had a lovely festive feel. The 14th Century castle is stunning and we enjoyed the views over the lake and deer park. The highlight was definitely the big man - magical memories for the children. Thank you to all the staff who made the visit so special. We also enjoyed lovely take out hot chocolate.

We visited the walled Gardens and park because the castle is closed due to covid restrictions. The place is so beautiful and well kept, the deers were also a lovely surprise to find on our walk. You can't go inside the castle but you can still admire it from the outside. There is also a kiosk to grab a coffee and a bite to eat.

This is a beautiful castle and parkland but what really stands out are the team. From the person in the carpark to the welcome at the castle, this is the warmest welcome weve ever had at a place like this. The castle is stunning, especially the views across the deer park. It has been beautifully preserved and well informed volunteers bring it alive. The gardens are lovely with lots of hidden corners and sun traps, easy to get away from other people. Lots to see and do and when we were there a lovely Halloween trail for children 👻

Fantastic castle in beautiful castle. A lovely Autumn day out. The misty day was a great setting for the castle and deer park. The trees changing colour and deer are very ‘busy’ at this time of year. The staff in the castle were warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. Most of the inside of the castle is still open. Vast outside areas to enjoy an autumn walk and take some great photos. Cafe was open. Really worth buying an annual ticket to come back. Covid safety reassuring.
