    Lovely walk
Had a lovely walk round the lake and stopped for lunch at the Boathouse. Lovely spot. The Boathouse is very small and no facilities for changing our baby grandson. Despite other comments car park was fine and cheap but we did visit midweek. We will return I’m sure

What a lovely place to walk around. Couple of local fairly priced pubs nearby. Great views. Definately worth a visit. Good for children, dogs and in my opinion wheelchair users. Only thing to be aware of is a very busy car park.

Good area to wander around popular with walkers and locals.
Visited first time yesterday and we live locally so to speak. Parking area metered cost only £1 for one and half hours. Charges up to £1:60 for longer we thought was reasonable. Walk around the dam paths are a tad muddy December 19th but manageable, it took us around one hour 20 minutes to stroll round with the odd stop off for a photo or two. Seats around the dam sides available plus on the eastern side of the small cafe offers drinks cakes and small snacks. Admittedly the best time for tree colour would be the autumn fall. Wildlife is plenty here Information boards around the pathways give you options of several pathways with miles and time to undertake them.

Great place for a long walk and to blow off the cobwebs. The car park was understandably busy but, once out, great walk around the water and stop for a nice coffee too, great for dog walkers and a great visit in the spring sunshine.

I love walking my Dog here every morning around 6.30 and then again on an evening. It's a beautiful place but turns into hell on earth when the hoards arrive, especially on a weekend and bank holidays. Stay away would be my advice at these times. Parking is difficult and the number of Dogs running out of control is horrendous. Some shouldn't even be off a lead. I tend to walk the woods out of the way. If I can't get there early or late in the day I don't go. For me Winter walking at Newmillerdam is the best. The fair weather walkers are tucked away at home and I can almost have the place to myself......wonderful!!

A very beautiful walkaround, partially paved and easy to get around, great access from the main road, would recommend.

Visited for the first time recently. Lovely walk with a dog and baby around, the staff at the Boathouse cafe were great and parking was easy. Path is good for pushchairs, easy to follow and the car parking is cheap (think it's free for the first hour!)

The only improvement I can think of is that it would benefit from some bins along the way - all the responsible dog owners at the Boathouse cafe had to leave their bags of poo outside as (understandably) it's a health hazard to bring it in, but (inexplicably) there is nowhere outside of the car park to dispose of rubbish.
