Husband visited solo whilst I was at business meeting. Museum told story of Somerset in clearly laid out displays. Very friendly and informative staff added considerable value. Excellent presentation of a variety of fossils. All the more impressive as entrance was free.

We almost missed the place, which is tucked away behind Taunton Castle. It was an impromptu visit, to fill in an hour before dinner. We were pleasantly surprised, and did not regret going there.
