We do like to be beside the seaside!
Not quite the beach but the seafront...lively even for a Sunday evening. The walk was lovely and all the lights and music added to the experience. Plenty of families out on the bank Holiday weekend, so very popular even now.

    Bracing Skeggy.
Skegness is a great holiday destination for all ages. There is so much to do. Funfair for young & older children/adults, donkeys, amusements, crazy or football golf, seal sanctuary, aquarium, high wire, boating, pier, go karts etc. Friendly locals. Reasonable priced cafes/ice creams. Loads of accommodation.

    Beautiful skegness safe
Walked round the shops, had the best fish and chips. Walked along the beach. Couldn't believe how clean it was, no paper or plastic anywhere. People friendly, finished of having a drink in the pier bar which was great. Weather just right. Definitely will be going back. Don't believe what the media say about the migrants didn't see any. Don't care if I got a speeding ticket..

    A day out.
A bit sad, what upsets me is paying £7 to park the car, ok I accepted that. 40p to go to the toilet bit of a rip off. The Pleasure Beach was crowded, I guess its shool holidays and the grandkids enjoyed it. All in all, it was what I was expecting.

    Interesting beach lots going on
It's sad to admit that I must be mad. I say this because I found this beach really interesting, as in the beach morphology. At the top end there are the groynes which have been colonised and the hexagonal defences. Further down the beach you pass below the pier (at low tide) to the lower end and dunes. Observe the angle of the beach and look at the steps and wonder how far down the go. It's worth comparing what it is like at low and high tide as there is around a 6M difference. There is plenty of sand about on the beach and in the water and there appeared to be plenty of silt and fine particulates which must play havoc for both Natureland and the aquarium who filter the sea water to use in their locations. On other things, as someone mentioned I appeared to be in the constant company of a small spider (not just at the beach) and depending on where and when you went the beach could be messy but that's really by the pleasure beach site.

Perfect for a walk with ice cream in hand
My friends and I had a lovely long stroll along the beach. The weather was not perfect that day, but still enjoyable. They are trying to keep the beach as clear as possible, however I did notice a fair bit of litter which is a shame. If only everyone would take their litter with them and/or dispose it in the bins accordingly!

I have been at Skegness for first time. Unfortunately arrived when for fog we couldn't see 2 m front of us 🙂 We didn't get to see anything but we know next day will be hot. We woke up to beautiful weather and we seen all beautiful places and beaches 😉 Definitely we will be back for long stay this was just short trip. Enjoy 100% recommended 👌

    litter bugs
so you all are moaning about the beach at Skegness, lets put it this way you are the ones leaving all the rubbish take it home or find a bin to put it in, Skegness beach is not dirty, filthy, or covered in litter, its a long clean beach with very good walks, perfect for children, dog walking, meeting friends and family. Yes there are a few odd folk about from other counties but they don`t bother you. Put simply you come here if you don`t like go else where and leave your litter there. I do not live there but come here most weekends so I know what I am talking about. Stop moaning enjoy your self have some old fashioned fun, be happy.

Doesn’t deserve a bad reputation, well worth a visit.
Lovely sandy beach, spotless. Lots for the kids to do. The communal paddling pools near the lake are fantastic. Lots of amusements, donkey rides, crazy golf options, traditional fun fair, busy pier, park, go karts, swimming, excellent fish and chips, seal sanctuary (well worth a visit) and a few good restaurants too. Good value, Plenty of parking and the kids love it. It’s modernised too with some good investment. I’m not sure why it gets such a bad rep from some people, I generally think they listen to what other people have said without going, perhaps because its a traditional working class destination (snobbery) but I think it’s come along way and has something for everyone. It’s a great seaside day out/weekend away.

    A surprise gem
On a blustery but sunny November morning the beach promenade provides a lovely walk. The information about the offshore wind farms was interesting and the views of the North Sea were stunning. The shelters and benches have obviously been replaced and this adds to the vista. The RNLI station is interesting and the shop had very reasonably priced Christmas decorations

A lovely walk along the beach path. The beach itself is always pretty chilly, even in summer, but it's nice to walk along!

If your thinking of coming to skegness in the October half term just be aware that everywhere is closed.
Very disappointing as obviously some school half terms are a week later than others.
28th October- 4th November was the time we have come and nothing open. Seal sanctuary was and the excape room( excellent). Anything else was not. No fairground rides at skegness and fantasy island both closed.
Even though not alot open car parks were full so God knows where people were going.

Skegness has beautiful clean beaches with miles of golden sand, it has to be one of the best in the country, knowing it’s a blue flag beach is a big bonus too.

Very big beach, lots of space. Clean and well kept. Chance of seeing seals in the winter and Porpoises if you are lucky. The Lincolnshire coast is a migratory route for birds so is very good for bird watching. There is now an excellent coastal path stretching for miles from Gibraltar Point to Mablethorpe so plenty of walking to be had. Lots of places to buy a coffee...not forgetting fish & chips.
