Tullie House is undoubtedly one of the best regional museums and art galleries in the country. Fascinating exhibits on Roman history and the more recent recent history of the region. The special exhibitions are also very good.

Friendly staff, lovely space to get around, as I'm disabled. Very informative Mueseum, has lifts, so no need to take the stairs, as I couldn't. Plenty of things for children to enjoy doing. Right opposite Carlisle Castle, and 200 yards from the city's beautiful Cathedral. . . In the main city centre. Tullie House, has a lovely cafe, for cakes... More

If you've ever been interested in the Roman occupation of our island, and by the particular history of this border territory, this outstanding set of exhibitions will deepen your understanding and knowledge. It is extremely logically and attractively well-displayed, and well-contained. There appeared to be a useful cafe and further set of facilities which I did not use, and the... More

Tulle House has an excellent display of Roman artefacts, displayed in a way that captures the imagination of children.

Planned a visit of an hour and a half, stayed 3, almost 4 hours. Got to handle 2000 year old Roman jewellery, as well as 9000 year old stone axe heads. Amazing day, recommend seeing David! The lad is amazing, really knows his stuff. Hands down made the trip for us. Thanks David!!!

I like Tullie House. Its my local museum and have visited 4 times since we moved to the area 5 months ago. Its great value if your local, as a season ticket is only £4, and anyone remotely interested in history or culture who lives in the qualifying area should support this venture. There is plenty of variety in here... More

Its been years since I was last in here, and must have missed loads out because I cant remember it being so big. Cost nearly £10 to get in to see the main museum, and the extra part dedicated to the first world war in the area. Downstairs is a large room dedicated all about the romans and thier history...
