This is a superb museum! In fact we didn't get round everything as our main objective for our trip was to visit the castle and we were running out of time. First though, I have to take issue with the fact that I had to hunt around to find out how much it was to enter - there were large... More

We visited Tullie House again having really enjoyed it on a previous visit to the area. It is a fab museum for all ages. There is such a range of exhibits from art and old toys/household artefacts to the Romans and a section on the Reivers who lived in the Anglo-Scottish borderlands. They have a beautiful violin 100 years older... More

Tullie House is undoubtedly one of the best regional museums and art galleries in the country. Fascinating exhibits on Roman history and the more recent recent history of the region. The special exhibitions are also very good.

Friendly staff, lovely space to get around, as I'm disabled. Very informative Mueseum, has lifts, so no need to take the stairs, as I couldn't. Plenty of things for children to enjoy doing. Right opposite Carlisle Castle, and 200 yards from the city's beautiful Cathedral. . . In the main city centre. Tullie House, has a lovely cafe, for cakes... More

It is extremely logically and attractively well-displayed, and well-contained. There appeared to be a useful cafe and further set of facilities which I did not use, and the... More

Planned a visit of an hour and a half, stayed 3, almost 4 hours. Got to handle 2000 year old Roman jewellery, as well as 9000 year old stone axe heads. Amazing day, recommend seeing David! The lad is amazing, really knows his stuff. Hands down made the trip for us. Thanks David!!!
