    Saturday morning walk
Great Lochside walk. Time to walk around Loch was 2hr 20min. Spectacular views and wildlife - deer just standing 20yds away from you… the hills and views around are magnificent.

    Wonderful walk
A fantastic walk. Plenty of parking, easy to navigate path as you are just circumnavigating the loch, in places the path is narrow and uneven but mostly good flat paths. Some beautiful views. The dogs loved being able to have a swim on a warm day. Surprisingly quiet given how busy the car park was when we got back.

    Such beauty on our doorstep!
About an hour and 47 minutes from Aberdeen, I’d been wanting to visit Loch Muick for a while now. There’s a lot of nice scenery on the way and when we went on a cloudy Saturday, there was plenty of car parking space in the main and two overflow car parks (£5 charge payable by card). The path looked to have different levels of difficulty, people both on foot and on bikes. We only made it down the lake and then back to the car park because we got hungry! Plenty of fresh air and outdoor vibes, there was much more we could do as there was another path that led to Lochnagar but hunger won with us. Everyone was really friendly also! I’ve never been on a walk in the city where anyone said hello or how are you? Dogs were on leads because of the local wildlife and lots of people of different ages seemed to be enjoying the area which was nice. We had planned to visit Angus & Ale in Ballater but they didn’t open until 5.30pm so we went to the Boat Inn in Aboyne as it wasn’t too far away and I’d been there before.

Well worth the drive along the single track road to see this beautiful and interesting landscape. Colin, the Ranger, made it especially worthwhile with his engaging and knowledgable conversation. A pleasure to meet him

We were there on a very cold New Year’s Eve for a walk with dogs and children. The scenery is amazing and watching stags grazing on the mountains above was special.

Very nice hike. We didn't have enough time to do too much of it, but it really is lovely. And it was a drizzly overcast day, but still lovely.

Came back here after not having visited for a few years and loved the walk around the loch. The full circuit is about 8 miles with mostly good paths. Toilets in the car park but last time we came the little shop was open to buy chocolate at the end which wasn’t open this time.
