Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Most time understaffed especially in the week. Hardly anyone at reception. They offer snacks for purchase and when you wanna get something for your kids you get told to wait for someone to come and this someone no one know when they will come. So you pay your money and you need to wait to give them your money . If you have no staff to serve then don’t have food to sell . Appalling service

Love this place. Had a party for my eldest last year which was brilliant! and just went this morning for an ad hoc session. Took both my big 2 girls who are 8 and 4. My 4 year old had never done it before and the two guys working there Josh and Declan were absolutely brilliant. Helping and encouraging her along the way! Thank you both! Really boosted her confidence 😊

Booked in advanced but still had to queue for 15 minutes, then another 15 minutes to hire skates. Skates were uncomfortable, blunt and gave me awful blisters which after a week I still cant skate or run without pain… then another 15 minutes to return skates. Most in the queue also had blistered. We then stayed to watch the hockey and decided to try the food. Again waited easily 15 minutes to get served and we only had 2 people in front of us. My pizza was burnt and my lad couldn’t eat his hot dog. Non of the vending machines worked but still had £8 deducted from my card anyway. We watched the bees play which are not always the most entertaining of teams but still good fun… Mr drummer man decided to set up 2 seats away from us which did created an good atmosphere but was way too much that close to us. We managed to move behind the glass which was good fun. My lad loved that and he also got a puck of the ice… it was still a good day out but it’s not our local rink or team so probably won’t ever go back..

Booked for a Clip'n'climb party. Great facility. Quite hard to get through on telephone to confirm details but the climb instructors on the day were great.
We had the party room which was...just ok. Probably better to nab the tables next to the climbing walls as more atmosphere and, a major issue is the party room is not secure and my purse was stolen (there are two doors into the party room which I hadn't noticed). I wouldn't bother with the food there either. Best to bring your own (or maybe order a Dominoes delivery) I think.
So I would have given it 4 stars but the purse theft has kind of put me off going again sadly :-(

Despite booking process, any amount of people of all standards are permitted, fast skaters rubbing shoulders with beginners. Some were typing texts whilst skating round, others gathered on the edge with no intention of skating, getting in the way of those trying to circulate with help from the boundary wall.

As we left, many were entering the rink through the fire escape door.

I am unable to book a normal session through their website and there is no number to contact them on. All I want to find out is the price. It can’t be that hard to list a price on your website.

A great rink but some of the equipment needs to be updated. Three of my friends and myself all came out of the rink with terrible blisters. We had tried several size skates and picked the best size for us with thick socks over the top of our feet of course. Sadly I had very sore blisters on the inside of my feet for over a month. I have been to several ice-skating rinks before without this problem with the boots so know that this is not just my skin. The staff were very nice but it was such a shame as the skates had a negative lasting effect. Apart from that, great venue.

Been a few times with my little boy who loves the different, colourful climbing walls. The instructors have always been young, energetic and very professional, and we've enjoyed it every time.

Have to give a huge thumbs up and thank you for our recent experience. Although they're not doing birthday parties at the moment due to the pandemic, they were happy for me to bring my own food and bits and use the chairs and tables along the side as long as they were available.

I booked 6 slots for the boys and managed to get a couple of sofas and tables to set up.

I told the 2 instructors (didn't catch their names) that it was my little boy's 6th birthday, and although it wasn't an official 'Clip n Climb party' they still accommodated us and made my little boy feel special. I was so impressed at their professionalism and adaptability.

We watched a short video on health and safety (perfectly timed for short attention spans!) and then they were off.

One of our party was a little wobbly, and so one of the instructors stayed with him the whole time to assist and encourage him which was so kind. He ended up really enjoying himself and wants to go back!

Everything went smoothly and on time which made the whole party really successful.

Dropped 1 point only because it wasn't always easy to get through to someone at the centre. Would wait a few days for a response from the online enquiry form, and when I'd left voicemail messages on their main line, they wouldn't be returned. Again, this may be due to the pandemic / short staffing, etc.

However, when I did get a response, customer services were always very friendly and helpful.

A big thank you to the 2 instructors that made our day special. We'll definitely be back, and I totally recommend.

With a relatively small entrance fee this ice rink is a value for money. It is great if you are experienced and want to practice your moves but not so much if you are just starting. I was a bit concerned as when you got issued skates they did not supply you with a helmet. Although it was a very big rink , there were the amazing people wizzing past and the inexperienced ones shuffling along , I feel there should have been a separate rink for the people who aren’t as confident . But overall we had a good time.
