Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

4 of us walked through and had a look. i wanted to in order to try and save the day as Minehead has very little to offer in my opinion.

This garden area isn't amazing by any means but it's maintained and it's nice enough.

A pleasant place to walk. I did notice the benches were all chained together which must have it's own story.

Just been told that this beautiful park is now dog friendly. Sitting enjoying the sunshine and listening to the band playing music. Fabulous.

These are very attractive flower gardens with trees and grass in the centre of Minehead. There are plenty of seats to sit and relax in good weather.

We had 2 double scoop Kelly's ice-creams (£9.00). They were the smallest sized scoops we've ever had a I think the most expensive.
It seems to be manned by children that maybe haven't received proper training?
Sadly we'll not be going back again.

Beautiful gardens, kept clean and tidy. There’s a cafe and a golf course. When we walked through there was live music so it was nice to sit down and just let the day go by

Gorgeous gardens, with well established trees and beautiful colourful plants. Nice cafe on site. Extremely well kept, no rubbish anywhere, and so well worth a visit

Never experienced a park into which NO dogs are allowed. For a tourist town who rely on families often with their pet dog, this is absurd!

So im writing my review on the park itself..... not the derelict building or youth that people seem to think aren't entilted to enjoy the open space without calling them names.
The park is lovely, well maintained flower beds, the spring flowers coming up nicely and adding colour, the wildlife looking for nuts/seed or juicey worms.
It is a lovely place to sit and listen to the birds tweeting away, to enjoy people watching. In the summer it would be nice to see the stage area used a bit more..... maybe some of the local bands/community choirs or something might be nice but hopefully that will progress. As for child friendly- most definitely - know i can let my children run through the park and have fun without having shoes coated in dog poo! The downside is definitely the toilet as they are run down. Hopefully they may be updated or fixed soon. For a yiung family its not easy to pack everything up and walk to the ones in the coop car park and quite expensive if you go to a local cafe n buy food (out of politeness) to use the toilets

From the entrance this looked like a nice area for a walk.
However the rule about no dogs prevented that. I fail to see why dogs on leads cannot enter. Shame I think we would have enjoyed a walk around it.
