Went here as a child and over 60 years later still visiting.Not a huge museum but lots of interesting things and different exhibits from time to time,well worth a visit if you have an hour to spare.

Tolson museum has been around all my life I'm 65. Currently a display on votes and rights feature. Very appropriate with the celebrations of women's right to vote and Brexit. The local newspaper the examiner has given the impression the museum is about to close....More

As a Chilinder I took lots of children here. It was always fun and very educational. All the children loved it, but I believe it is now closed, what a pity Kirklees 😡😡😡😡

We are still here - and open every weekend from 12 noon to 4pm. We are also open in the Kirklees school holidays, please check our website for up to date details.

Excellent place in terms of education. Staff were helpful and the building was simple to get round. I came to visit this museum with friends and we enjoyed every moment. Will be returning again in the future.

Went here for a measuring job from work and had a look round whilst I was there. The place is so outdated and run down now. In my opinion, it needs a lot of investment which I guess the local council will not be able...More

Definitely a place to take the family - very educational and something worthy to do in the school holidays. My children always enjoy the visit to Tolson Museum - we go there every year. It relaxing! Definitely one to visit.
