Home cooked lovely food. Parking not very good. Has a beer garden. They sometimes have groups on and singers. Decor really lovely it feels very country pub style. Lovely comfy seating. Very spacious pub.

After visiting at HRI, me and my mother decided to try out the newly refurbished Nightingale. My mother had been the day before and said the food was really, really good. The staff were so attentive, including the chef, who couldn't do enough, thanks go to him. My mother ordered pulled pork with skinny chips and I ordered hot chicken Sarnie with big fat chips!! Chef brought the food and was really sociable. The chicken sandwich was gorgeous and the chips .... Lush. Mum let me try some of hers and again, gorgeous. At the time, they were setting up screen and projector for the World Cup tomorrow. Hope the new owner has a lot of success here. Will certainly be back for more of their brilliant menu and those big fat chips!!
