Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Traditional 'local' pub. Friendly staff. Reasonable range of ales with Milltown's own (currently the brewery tap), Landlord and one or two other guests. Wide range of gins, and Lagers. Decent wine. Not cheap, though with no food or TV's a great place to drink and have a chat etc. Nicely decorated with a couple of log burners lit during winter. Decent views from outside small stone balcony. Parking can be tricky though local bus teminates only 6o metres away. Best pub in north Huddersfield.

My husband and I are members of a national real ale society and a group of the Huddersfield and District Branch had a social up here one night. It serves a decent selection of beers, mainly from one of the breweries in Huddersfield. We always get a very warm welcome when we visit here and has a cracking view. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Huddersfield. It doesn't matter if you are part of a group or on your own you will never be ignored.

The Dusty Miller has quickly become our favourite local pub. We love the friendly welcome and the fantastic locally brewed cask ales. There's superb view over the countryside in the summer and a cosy atmosphere inside in the winter.

Over-priced with a 'clicky' customer base. Nice view from the tables outside. This is where you spend most time as no one talks to you

Visited Dusty Miller on a Friday evening.
With friends whilst in Huddersfield for the weekend Had a pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord Bitter, the beer was fantastic. The pub was busy and had a very good atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and chatty whilst making you feel welcomed.
The even came round with piece of pork pie on a tray.
Will definitely return.

Absolutely love this Yorkshire pub, it's warm and welcoming and the staff are so friendly - they go above and beyond for their customers. The views are spectacular and have such a wide selection of real ale, Gins and spirits. They don't serve food but they do a mean pork pie platter which locally sourced, just to give it that true authentic Yorkshire feel. Can't recommend this pub enough. If you decided to go on a walk in the surrounding area it's nice a nice warm place to end up in, where the staff will greet you with a smile. It has a dart board, pool table, allows dogs in and even has a quiz on a Wednesday night making a great place to socialise with friends.

Great local pub with a heap of real ale options on tap. A proper English pub experience, have brought my visiting parents to it and they love it when they came over from Australia.
Always well kept, great place to catch up with friends, and its location up the top of Longwood has a great view looking down over the Colne Valley.

The choice of beers is quite impressive. I eventually decided on a few pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. It was superb.
After a couple of pints, the pork pie platter (a Brosters growler, brown sauce and some relish) went down a treat. The free slice offered earlier on was an excellent marketing campaign!
Really nice friendly pub, good beer, reasonable prices, the Dusty is well worth a visit.

After finishing work we decided To go my old local for a few light refreshments. The bar was clean and getting pretty full.. they offer a large selection of gin which is one of my favourites to drink. Today I just had 3 pints of platinum blonde ale which was absolutely beautiful. Definitely what I needed after a long day at work !

This pub is in a tucked away location but is worth seeking it out .There was a good choice of local beers and the view over the valley from outside was great.
