My husband and I are members of a national real ale society and a group of the Huddersfield and District Branch had a social up here one night. It serves a decent selection of beers, mainly from one of the breweries in Huddersfield. We always get a very warm welcome when we visit here and has a cracking view. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Huddersfield. It doesn't matter if you are part of a group or on your own you will never be ignored.…

Absolutely love this Yorkshire pub, it's warm and welcoming and the staff are so friendly - they go above and beyond for their customers. The views are spectacular and have such a wide selection of real ale, Gins and spirits. They don't serve food but they do a mean pork pie platter which locally sourced, just to give it that true authentic Yorkshire feel. Can't recommend this pub enough. If you decided to go on a walk in the surrounding area it's nice a nice warm place to end up in, where the staff will greet you with a smile. It has a dart board, pool table, allows dogs in and even has a quiz on a Wednesday night making a great place to socialise with friends.…

Great local pub with a heap of real ale options on tap. A proper English pub experience, have brought my visiting parents to it and they love it when they came over from Australia. Always well kept, great place to catch up with friends, and its location up the top of Longwood has a great view looking down over the Colne Valley.…

The Dusty Miller has quickly become our favourite local pub. We love the friendly welcome and the fantastic locally brewed cask ales. There's superb view over the countryside in the summer and a cosy atmosphere inside in the winter.

The choice of beers is quite impressive. I eventually decided on a few pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. It was superb. After a couple of pints, the pork pie platter (a Brosters growler, brown sauce and some relish) went down a treat. The free slice offered earlier on was an excellent marketing campaign! Really nice friendly pub, good beer, reasonable prices, the Dusty is well worth a visit.…
