About
Holy Trinity Church is a striking Grade II* listed building dating from 1868. It houses some interesting Victorian features and exceptional stained-glass windows, including six vivid modern windows in the south porch depicting the Creation. The church is a popular wedding and concert venue with an outstanding choir. Its three-manual Walker organ was restored in 2016 and is one of the finest parish church organs in the south-east.

The church was badly bombed in W. W. 2 so was rebuilt. The interior is huge and delightfully designed ...and the heating was on when I visited. There are some marvellous war memorials adorning the walks along with some lovely colour stained glass windows. The interior is clean and spacious and there are a lot of brochures available, some free and some not.

A very welcoming friendly church. We attended a service and we were warmly welcomed. It’s a very beautiful building with great acoustics. The service was traditional with a great choir and the traditional organ was well played and sounded beautiful.

If you are in Folkestone on a Sunday well worth a visit.

I would recommend this church. It is quiet, and beautiful The choir are wonderful and the people nice. It is a great place to be, especially at Christmas. My son is in the choir and I would reccomend the choir to children and teenagers of any age.

I would reccommend this church to anyone. It is a place for those wishing for something for quiet. The church has a fantastic building and a great choir, of which my son is a part.

I know this church is lovely as I married there 33 years ago and it has hosted Songs of Ptaise a couple of times. A short walk will take you to The. Leas, the sea and places to eat and drink. A lovely church.

Thank you for your review. It is lovely to hear from people who married in our church. Holy Trinity is still a popular church for those who want a traditional wedding, renewal of vows or a blessing, with details on our website. We are also fortunate to have a beautiful venue and a wonderful choir and were privileged to be chosen for the recent Pentecost service as seen on the BBC.

A wonderful experience at the Pentecost service on the 4th June. A lovely church, well worth a look around. A superb venue for concerts and must be a sort after church for that special day.

This church is beautiful. It was built just after the first world war to replace the original Holy Trinity which was bombed during the great war. Only the clock tower remains of the original in the gardens near the town. This church is a fair size and is used by some of the local schools.

Thank you for your kind comments, but perhaps I could just correct one thing. Christ Church was the church that was destroyed in the Second World War, and the congregation moved from there to Holy Trinity, which was built in 1868. The broken Christ Church memorial to the dead of the First World War can be seen on the wall of Holy Trinity, near the Lady Chapel. This is personal as my son sings in the choir there. They are always looking for choristers, boys and girls who enjoy singing aged 8 yrs and above. Holy Trinity is a quiet church, I like it as you can feel relaxed. I love the church at Christmas and getting involved isn't too difficult. I like the people they are nice. I like the church it is lovely and quaint and just a lovely church.

Dear 554Madeleine554  Thank you for your lovely review. We are very proud of our choir which is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and led by our Director of Music, Tim Parsons who maintains the cathedral choral tradition in services. Our choir nurtures its younger members, and is always on the lookout for new recruits. Organ scholars are funded with the support of the ‘Friends of the Music’. In the summer the choir takes its music to cathedrals all over the country and music is very much part of our outreach, with a growing number of concerts throughout the year and a longstanding series of summer organ recitals.

This is a beautiful church. It was built here after the war when the original Holy Trinity was bombed, only the tower from the original church now stands on the original site at the begining of Folkestone town centre.
