The venue is ideallic. The atmosphere relaxing and pleasant in the summer sun and gentle breeze on the Leas. Music of all kinds to suit all ages is played. Deckchairs are put out for your convenience. Magical

This is an old school band stand which has concerts from local brass bands in the summer. It adds a certain traditional character to the Leas.

We are very lucky in Folkestone to have this lovely old Victorian bandstand. the bandstand itself is well looked after. During the summer months a variety of bands and groups perform here which always attracts a crowd and it's free.

The band stand is a great finishing touch to the largely Victorian buildings in this area. Though rebuilt and not original, it really does fit in well and make a great focal point.

Reminded me of childhood trips to the coast, many places had Bandstands and occasionally you would here a local brass-band playing. Good to see a reminder of better times from the past.

Last time I saw the Bandstand was when I was about ten, it does not appear to have changed even though it has been rebuilt. It would have been a great loss if it had been let go.

Some great live entertainment let down by the lack of input from Shepway district council. The sound system was absolutely terrible and way to small for the size of the venue. The council apparently use the same system for all events held there. Distorted and...More

This is a a great place to listen to music in the summer, or carols at Christmas, good for all and a great place to hang out.

Fantastic that this iconic bandstand was rebuilt in 2006 by the local council. It is an important historic piece of architecture that adds greatly to the ambience of this area of Folkestone
