Jason had the unfortunate task of having to deal with myself and a fellow Masters student last summer as part of our summer placement in the Isle of Arran. In short, for rhib boat diving he's absolutely nailed it.

For the 3 weeks (38 dives) I was working with Jason he was totally flexible and a completely professional. To say we were treated with anything less than a 5* service would be a total understatement, from warm drinks (including mochas and lattes) to providing home baked snacks (possibly the only skipper EVER to do this) he had it covered. At one point I'm pretty sure he had bought the islands entire supplies of Jaffa cakes due to one divers mild addiction to them... He also had some great anecdotes about the area and a great sense of humour that definitely kept us going on some of the colder days.

Our set up was fairly unique requiring GPS for locations which weren't technically dive sites. He was brilliant in assisting us set lines down and recovering them. His knowledge of the waters is also expert. This enabled us the best approaches to our sites considering the conditions at the time and to complete our surveys in a record time. Every time we went down, we knew he was always watching and ensuring we were safe. Furthermore, he was genuinely interested in what we saw and what the terrain was like - impressive considering some of the sites were diving we not the most exciting (that was down to our work rather than his design)!

Jason was also brilliant at assisting us shore as well, be it securing equipment or helping us load back onto land. He was always punctual, even if we decided to start early ie 6:30am - yes he ensured extra coffees were on board for those days. Claire, his partner, also came out to visit a few times and is equally as brilliantly mad. She came on a few dives with us and was also as interested in what we were up to. They are both people who i would hands down dive with again at any opportunity!

Not only do they offer bespoke diving trips, but they are also capable of doing family boat tours which, from the delighted customers I saw, are definitely worthwhile.

If anyone is planning to go diving near Arran/Dunoon area, then look no further than Wreckspeditions.

Hope to see you both soon :)

Awwwww mate!!!! What a right up....what a superstar (and yes I believe that the island did indeed run short of jaffa cakes hahaha!) The whole project with you guys was great. It was brilliant for me to get involved in conservation work which I love and to learn new skills along the way. I know it was a long haul on some days but we smashed it out the park and I am utterly delighted (and like a dad proud in a way) about how yous handled yourselves and got the work done in the time we had. I certainly hope you guys can come up this way for more leisurely diving with us, there is a spare room here and yous are more than welcome to stay any time. Stay safe and look forward to our next encounter :)

Great experience for the kids on the power boat. It was our last day in Scotland and we decided to try and see if we could get a boat ride seeing as most were suspended until September. Jason was great and could fit us in during short notice. The kids and my husband had a 30 minutes blast On the power boat. They saw a shipwreck and had a little paddle off the boat too. They were buzzing when they got back and didn’t expect it to be such a fast ride with lots beautiful views. Jason was very professional and gave enough time to sterilise all jackets and boat between sessions. We hope to go back and visit Dunoon, and will be sure to visit Wreckspeditions again but for a longer trip. Thanks again for a great experience 👍🏽

This is the second research expedition that I have done with Jason of Wreckspeditions and again this was a raging success. From July 11th - 7th August I participated on 40 research dives for COAST who used Wreckspeditions as a dive charter. Jason was totally committed to the research and was brilliant at organising the dive days, which was challenging giving the inconsistency in weather and water conditions which were experienced around the Isle of Arran. His RIB, named the Starfish Enterprise had plenty of space. We were only a small research group of max 3 divers and were also able to comfortably conduct scientific analysis onboard the boat as well as store our research equipment. Since I last went on his boat in 2019 he has added a new ladder to enable entry back on board which is really sturdy to do with gear on. If you are uncomfortable or unable with that he is more than happy to pull your kit over the side of the boat. Great with his boat handling, customer care and ensuring divers are safe and comfortable in the water you could not go wrong with using this skipper for recreational or research dives. Other big benefits are Jason range of warming drinks, baked goods and his anecdotes which help make for a great day of diving!
Cheers Jason for such a great expedition!

An expedition never to be forgotten, 60 sites in 28 days and some incredible research with some even more incredible memories. Always great working with you all, COAST, University of York and the extra volunteers who all pulled together to make it a successful mission. Thank you for being an integral part of it, and for those awesome words. Will we meet again for Scallop Survey Part III? who knows

We'd booked a weekend with Jason earlier in the year that had to be cancelled due to the weather and as soon as lock down was lifted booked again. The trip and itinerary were planned with Jason using messenger and phone and everything was explained brilliantly.

We met Jason at Brackley Point on Loch Striven for our first day and all went well. Jason had put the shots right on the wrecks and given an excellent brief so we found everything easily. The Highball Trail was particularly good.

On day two we met more conventionally at a Kip Marina. Again all was good and we had dives on the Akka and the Greenock.

We will be booking again.

So glad we managed to get out both days for yous.....and really glad we managed the highballs which yous all enjoyed. The visibility has certainly dropped lately in the Clyde but that doesn't take away from how spectacular the sites are here, and really glad that when a group of divers like yourselves comes here.....you know to expect all manner of conditions whilst still appreciating the sites and history for what they are. All the best troops.....till next time! :)

Did two weekends in a row of diving charters with Wreckspeditions during the past month. Can't praise them highly enough. Jason is an outstanding skipper who knows his stuff as well as being very safety conscious. Expertly dropped shotlines, fantastic post drives drinks and eats and an overall brilliant time.

Will certainly be going back out with Jason and Claire and would highly recommend Wreckspeditions to anyone.

Just got back from a long weekend with Wreckspeditions, diving with a small group of friends. It’s been said before, but Jason runs an absolutely first class boat, strong safety focus, really good dive site briefs and a smooth organisation getting you diving and in and out of the boat with no fuss. Also great company between dives, and it’s clear he loves what he is doing !

We had 6 CCR divers and the boat setup works really well with kitting up areas and a ladder that let some of the group rediscover rib diving after years of refusing to go out on one!

Hot chocolate and home made flapjacks after the dives warmed us up (it is January after all).

Will be coming back definitely!

Hi Dave Many thanks for your feedback and it was really good to have a full technical group out with us to see how it can still run smoothly, even on a rhib. We do love what we do here and glad that shows through. Certainly hope to have you all back again soon!

On recommendation from a friend, we took a family Rib Ride with Wreckspeditions. The 2-hour ride took us from Holy Loch Marina to the ‘Sugar Wreck’, through the porpoise feeding grounds near Cove and down to the Gantocks Lighthouse close to Dunoon. It has been the highlight of our 11 days in Argyll. Jason was an incredibly competent and considerate skipper who tailored the whole experience to us and our 11 year old boys. It is a powerful boat but we always felt incredibly safe with Jason at the helm. Fast and exciting when we wanted it, slow and steady when we were watching wildlife and taking a close-up look at the wrecks. It was a great privilege to see porpoises and seals so close to the boat.

Jason’s COVID precautions were exemplary and well designed so as not to affect our enjoyment of the ride.

A really nice touch were the binoculars provided for the tour, especially useful to get a close up of the seals and birds on the rocks at the Gantocks Lighthouse.

We all had huge grins our our faces throughout the trip and the 2-hours flew by far too quickly. Thank you Jason, we will be back next year!!!

We did the "Holy Loch Blast" with my daughters. It's a short, but intense, experience. The guide, Jason, was absolutely great, both as a person and a professional. Extremely knowledgeable and made the experience a memorable one. Will be back soon to explore other tours, I highly recommend this, unbelievable how much value you get for the low price that it costs

I booked two Wreckspeditions Holy Loch Blast boat tours for my friend's hen party and it turned out to be one of the highlights our weekend away with everyone commenting on how much fun it was.

Jason was fantastic and very knowledgable. The trip combined some fun, speedy manoeuvres with interesting facts and history about the local area. Jason also gave us some wonderful local recommendations for our weekend stay in Kilmun.

I would highly recommend this tour, it was really enjoyable and good value for money.

Had an amazing week diving the Clyde with Jason. The amount of life above and below the water is amazing. The skipper Jason really knows his stuff, the boat was handled perfectly and he gave us loads of information about the area and it’s history. The boat is great with hot drinks and home made biscuits after the dive. Will be back!
