After negotiating a very steep and narrow driveway only to find the entrance is actually on the main road, we were disappointed to find Morag's Fairy Glen closed until further notice

I read about this area in a free local guide and was to,d about it in the Tourist Office but it needs serious improvement in signage and is easily overlooked. There is parking in a nearby car park , opposite the childrens play area beside...More

Nice for a wander up the hill and exploring with wee ones, the fortress at the top is pretty cool too. Well laid out with a nice picnic area with a handful of picnic benches there.

Beautiful and peaceful. But rather overgrown and a bit neglected (fences broken). Ideal for couples and older children, but would not take younger children due to broken fences and steep drops.

Kids 9 and 10, if under wouldn't recommend, as fencing missing, slippy and not well maintained. My kids loved it, overgrown so pushing back branches looking for fairies. Lots of holes to peak in, bridges over the fast flowing stream and small waterfalls. Dad had...More
