Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a lovely walk around Bishop's Glen earlier today, with views of the reservoir and some impressive pine trees. The children enjoyed skimming stones on the water too. The paths are well laid out and easy enough to walk around.

Had a great run here. The woods are superb, paths well kept and sign posted. You could go miles and not be more than a mile from the reservoir. I ran from the town but there is plenty parking. All the people I met said hello.
I enjoyed so much I took the rest of the family the day after. Kids had great fun paddling in streams and looking for waterfalls. Highly recommended for active family's .

BG is a terrific place for nature walk and taking your ferry friends for walks. Some of the water fall created by water running from the hills are beautiful. The sound of water running excellent for serenity and peace.

Set off from Glen Morag Hotel Dunoon to walk to Sandbank via the Bishops Glen Reservoir and Dunan (The Camel's Hump). Keeping to the left after exiting the hotel
grounds entrance we followed the road for approx 10 mins before reaching a church followed by a bridge and immediately on the left is a slightly obscure path leading upwards which eventually brings you up to Nelson Road and a hundred yards on is the Reservoir . On its own it is worth the walk and would recommend on a nice day . If you decide to carry on to Dunan the route is badly signposted if at all . Approx 8 miles Dunoon to Sandbank via the two attractions.

This is a fairly easy walk that isn't too long but provides absolutely incredible views of the reservoir. Some of the trees and plants you see are nothing short of spectacular. We had our 3 year old with us and she loved walking through the woods.

Lovely spot with a variety of dog walking options for all levels of fitness. The midges however should keep you on the move!
