Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The previous day we had the amber warning for rain, so the day whe we went the waterfalls were incredible, the views even though it was a dull day were fantastic
You need comfortable walking shoes
Not wheelchair or buggy friendly
We would do this again

There is an excellent choice of walks at different locations throughout the forest, graded for length and difficulty. A great way to experience the area.

We were truly blessed with the weather which made the forest glisten with a mixture of autumn and evergreen colours. Some clearly marked routes, some a tad slippery so wear your walking boots.

Beautiful woodland, ideal for a tranquil walk with the dog. Really quiet and great to walk on whatever the weather

The most magnificent unspoiled scenery, quiet roads, and lovely places to visit recommended to those who wish for something different away from the maddening crowds

The Argyll Forest Park encompasses around 720 square miles of some of the finest scenery in Scotland. I contrasts rolling lowland landscapes in the south to high mountains in the north with many lochs and rivers, forests and woodlands. Extraordinarily beautiful!

So much to see, lots of walks with beautiful views! If you go on a Wed pm... you can watch the sailing on the Holy Loch! Always fun and pretty sight to see.

Great place to visit in a good day; walks of varying degrees of fitness, including wheelchair users. Avenue of redwood trees just lovely. Cafe /restaurant reasonably priced with outside seating. Although, picnic on good day in the grounds even better. Well signposted just off main road with car park. Offers talks and other events during summer season. Well worth visiting.

We’ve been in this area all week and have loved every minute of it. There are such a variety of walks for all abilities. We visited the Benmore Botanic Gardens and loved them. There were some easy areas to walk around shown on the easy to follow leaflet. The walk to the top through the Chilean area was steep but not as difficult as we thought it would be and the views en route as well as the views from the viewing point at the top were splendid. Kilmun Arboretum has 3 way-marked walks. We did the easy yellow walk and the red walk which included some uphill areas but wasn’t too challenging. Glenbranter waterfall trail was our favourite although it was more challenging than expected as the ground was wet and slippery in places and there were some narrow areas close to drops. Puck’s Glen today. I’m sure it’ll be equally enjoyable.
